How to check self/starter relay of motorcycle if it's working or not ?? (3 way's to check)

This video is about checking your self/starter relay of motorcycle if it's in working condition or not.I have show 3 different ways to do it
The first method is widely used to quickly tell that your relay is faulty , but that method is wrong and it will not tell you if starter relay is working or not.
In second method i use multi-meter to check the continuity of the coil inside the self relay and then check its resistance ,v that way you can 100 % tells if starter relay is in good condition or bad.
Third method will also gives you 100% guaranty if your relay is working or not.

Thank you for yourself explanation,it is very helpful brother 👍 I have one problem, When I switch on the bike it starts normally, and i kill the engine with the kill switch and not turning off the key of the bike, after 2/3 minutes in traffic, when I try to start the bike with the self starter, I cannot turn on the bike, and when i turn off the the bike and switch off with the key for about 30 mins ,and after it starts normally again, this is battery problem or starter relay problem ? If you can answer me I will be very happy

@@SAIREPAIR it only makes a click sound from the starter relay . Had to switch off for 30 minutes or more if it's like that And I check the battery,it reads 12.95V My bike is dominar 400 , it does not come with kick start

Bro my bike is CBZ Xtreme with only press start. The starter relay makes a clicking noise when I press the self start, but horn is not working and only Indicator and headlights work. What might be the problem? If starter relay is bad, will it affect the horn or is the battery not good anymore?

you operate horn at the same time when using self why? , self motor draw large amount of amp from the battery that's why a relay is given in-between . self relay have nothing to do with horn or any other electric component. if you horn is not working and other things like indicator , headlight works then that means either your horns gone bad or there wire must be cut or loose

My bike pulsar 180 cc..getting kirkir sound from relay..battery is new, regulator is new, and i changed relay also..still getting kir kir sound..sometimes with kir kir sound after 5 sec bike is getting started..i am facing this issue especially in the morning...once bike started then i can run bike whole day but agaij in the morning same issue..is thi issue again with battery or do i need to change any coil?

there is a relay near the flasher which is used to control the self relay negative terminal as when the bike is in gear or neutral , sometimes rust or carbon deposit in it so check it and clean the terminals and if still problem continues then there might be carbon problem in the self motor , it may require a clean up or new carbon

its normal every single relay make sound when active , but if after pressing self button the self is not rotating then either the relay is bad or the self motor needs new carbon

relays are suppose to make click sound when in use , if relay don't work properly then its not always because of no proper + voltage from batter , but you have to check if the relay is getting good ground (negative) too or not, some times rust build up on negative terminals which create problems too, as you mention you change the battery that means you don't have + voltage problem it must be due to ground problem or may be your self motor needs new carbon brushes or a service
