How to Check the Compressor Oil Pressures

This is the first of the oil videos.
It all starts with the on how to check the compressor oil pressures and to figure out what is your N.O.P (Net Oil Pressure)
This oil pressure test is how you figure out where you are at and if you need to take a look at something else in the oil system.
Compressor oil check starts with checking the N.O.P and as well as with checking the oil levels
Refrigeration compressors are always tricky specially with oil.

Hey so I just finished trade school and got into a commercial refrigeration company. Do you have any kind of advice for me? Also do you mainly do those huge rack systems? Always take notes you are not going to remember everything. always take the best qualities of the techs you are working with and try to implemented into how you do things. I mostly work in supermarket racks and no I have not worked with any R290 systems yet. appreciate you watching

Great video, i've got a low temp rack with 3 copeland compressors. one compressor is frequently tripping out on oil pressure. can't figure out why. client suggested swapping out the compressor which we did.... the issue remains... only on compressor 3 though. lost for ideas. we have also changed the pressure differential switch incase that was faulty. and installed traxoil system to ensure it's not an oil supply issue. any suggestions would be awesome. ps... oil reservoir is full of oil 80%

Are you using a low loss fitting to check your oil pump pressure? Your gauge seems a little too oily...

what will the cause my oil pressure is 120psi and my suction pressure is 45 psi for airconditioning unit

What s the common cause of compressor lockout on low oil? Happened multiple times. Sometimes takes 45 minutes to lockout other times 3 days. Oil pressure oil reads around 65 with suction at 43 ish. Any obvious low hanging fruits you’d check?
