Hello Generally advice: 1 - There's no guarantee of when. Generally we inform the employer within 24 hours and the employer facilitates the I-140. 2 - Yes you can always ask the attorney. The attorney would likely inform you, but definitely the employer about the audit.

You can’t know 100% till it gets certified and you have to sign.
