I don't know how i did it, but i killed him off screen. I rode by him on torrent, hit him once, and rode over to those rocks to see how far he would chase me. I then just decided to ride down to the church where the knight with the hammer is and while riding, it popped on the screen saying i was rewarded the beast claws. I don't know if he fell off a cliff or what. Haven't seen him since. Can anyone confirm something like this?
