Hi, All the best for your boards exam😊 See, Mathematics will be there in engineering, in first year you have to study everything in common, for all the streams of engineering. From second year there will be specialisation classes. So, mathematics will be there, you will have to work hard, but nothing is impossible, if you really want to take btech biotechnology, then go ahead, but also think about all the perspective of jobs, your interest, good colleges and everything. But in most and the top most you will see that Bsc Biotechnology will be a 3 year program and once you head for MSc which is 2 year program there you will get specialisation as Med Biotechnology, Genetics, Bioinformatics etc. In fact Manipal has this system and this system is really good. Even if someone does 4 year ug in Biotechnology that will be equivalent to 3 year Bsc Biotechnology, then that one extra year is not going to make any difference in career. Because good highly paid jobs will be available only after masters.

If you are interested in UPSC then do graduation in such a subject that will help you in UPSC like political science or any subject from UPSC syllabus. Why will you then opt Btech, that too in biotechnology.???? Btw only core branches of btech are allowed to later sir for UPSC, not all branches students can. Core btech branches means, Mechanical, EEE etc.

Hii, If TCS comes for placements, then it's really good. If you are in second year, then study the things properly for now. Side by side prepare for placement interview, practice speaking fluently, work on your personality, you should look presentable. Talk to your seniors who has been placed, what all were asked in the interview. Don't worry, hard work always pays off. You will definitely get a job and you will make your parents proud.
