Hey, that really depends on the willingness to learn. And biotech is not necessarily just about biology. I would suggest you to go through one or two chapters on biotechnology from the NCERT book of 12th std. Look at the Biotechnology curriculum for B.Tech and then decide if you would like to take that up. The thing is, it is the start of learning process which is never ending...

Hey, as far as I could recall. You will either have to have knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. This is answer is based on the entrance exam which I cleared in 2012 for SRM and VIT university.

Not in my opinion. The difficulty level would be almost same as 11th and 12th grade in 1st semester and a bit more advanced in 2nd semester. I would check the curriculum, if I were you :)

Try to strike a balance there. Your CGPA need not be too high but too low CGPA is also not preferred. May be around 8 or 8.5 will be fine! It also depends on the type of universities that you apply to. Check which universities you want to apply to and see the accepted student profiles in those universities to understand how much CGPA you should have for that university.

This will depend on your interest. In the first year of engineering course in India - it is same course irrespective of the engineering branch that one decides to choose. Yes, if you cover 11th and 12th NCERT syllabus then it will be manageable in first year of engineering. Also, remember, that you will have lectures in your undergraduate degree where you will be learning for 4 years. So, in my opinion it is doable! All the best!

Hi Varshitha, I would suggest you to check courses on cancer biology, RNA research, stem cells, cell biology. These subjects do not require heavy mathematics.
