This is great mashallah and great that you have conducted this in a darul uloom. Jazakallah khair Ustadh Ibrahim and team. I had some feedback for Ustadh Ibrahim: 1. Could you explain to them and emphasize that as men, they have a responsibility to financially provide for their wife, children, mother and potentially even sisters. Even if they choose not to get married, it is still likely at some point they'll have to provide for their mum and sisters. Sadly aiming for just imamat and maktab, they are unlikely to be able to fulfil that responsibility. 2. Ihsan described as perfection can be really difficult for people who are perfectionists. It is better imo to describe it as excellence, and trying our very best whilst still having a balance in life. Please also consider a mentoring scheme for darul uloom students who have chosen a career/field, matching them up to people already established in that field. Once a month chat would be sufficient. Jazakallah khair!

I chose a career path at the age of 18. Didn’t enjoy or engage with the career and realised i only did it to ease my parents - which isn’t itself a bad thing - but this decision took me down a hole for 15 years until I’m finally now settled in my current career path.

Reality is for a 16-18 year old it’s very early to know what you would enjoy and be good at for a career. Far more important is to strive very hard and enjoy your GCSE and A levels excel and as one matures they have better insights into a meaningful career. We have far too many in the Muslim community frankly who don’t achieve academically and frankly their career “choices” are very limited

Here in the US, the Muslim own the liquor stores. It's a great way to spread Islam...

@data_analyst7944 Why do Muslims don't want to accept that engage in homosexuality, drunkenness and the spread of drugs and liquor here in the US!? That's a career choice...you do the same thing Christians and Jews do. There's no difference...you even have your women doing porn. This is no hate...it'd the Truth.

They do! They do the same as Christians and Jews. They sell liquor and drink liquor. My friend, you have to get out more often. I'm for liberating Palestine from those damn colonizers...but, Muslims are just like everyone else. Jews aren't special. Christians aren't special...and neither are Muslims.
