Thanks for helpful tips. I'm in the search for compression socks as I broke my ankle and am recovering but I had to go back to work where I stand 8 hours a day, 5 days a week cutting hair so my ankle swells terribly. My physical therapist recommended compression socks

It depends on what your condition is and what you are trying to achieve. I don't recommend wearing compression leggings without compression on the feet as it can restrict lymphatic flow from the feet and casue swollen feet. But if you mean to combine the two, that could be an options. We seldom recommend full panty hose because they are so difficult to put on. If you need compression all the way we often recommend knee high compression garments combined with capris length compression shorts. That is usually easier to deal with.

Yes, the volume was low when I first started the video, but I paused it and turned my computer speaker all the way up, and the volume was fine, even with a loud fan in the room next to me. Maybe you're watching on a cellphone or other device that can't be turned up? I'd suggest using headphones or earbuds if you can't hear him. Good luck. :)

I have thumb arthritis in both hands; cannot get the compression stockings on. I have been looking at all the devices that help with putting on compression hose - and there are plenty of for people who can't bend over, but I haven't been able to find a device that will help me get the stockings on w/o wrecking my thumbs. The stockings still need to be stretched over the devices. Do you have any ideas?

I suggest the Doff'N Donner, Rubber grip Gloves and the Juzo Easy pad. www.selfcaretherapy.com/product/doff-n-donner-kit/. With the right technique, you can roll the garment on without much thumb action. Utilize the grip gloves and use the palm of your hand to rub it on. You can use foot action with the Juzo pad to minimize use of the hands. The loader cone is much narrower than any of the donning frames so the loading is much easier. It does take some training, but that is what we use for patients with arthritis in the fingers or thumbs.
