Maybe 6 months before I retired they installed two 1,750 HP chillers that 18' long cabinet was feed by 13,200 volts then to a transformer supplying 4,160 volts to the VFD. Never had training ing or saw them run. I asked where the NEC required arc flash labels were and they said thier engineering department were working in that.When I talked to one of my old coworkers a year later they still were working on labels. I would never approve of final payment for any lazy foot dragging company that did not supply required !abeling.

Never heard of 24 pulse drives but in a new building we had 18 pulse drives on all motors 40 HP & !arger except for a soft start in 250 HP fire pump Talked to drive techs from two different drive companies and neither liked any drives above plain Jane 6 pulse drives. Always had trouble with biggest boy on the block ABB tech support. Had to perform PM on over 100 ABB drives and contractor threw away all the books. Took me two weeks and maybe 5 emails for clowns at ABB to finally explain how to Bring up DC Buss voltage that we had to enter on our drive PM'S. Found Danfoss & Allen Bradley best for tech support.
