Hi! I'm trying to find a planner I once had. It was Dutch door style. It had one month across 2 pages in the normal style except it only took up the bottom 3/4 of the page. The top 1/4 was a week across the 2 pages (3 days left side, 4 days right). The weekly spreads were the top of the Dutch door so you could see a week and the month at the same time. Has anyone seen anything like this?

One thing missing is having a planner with detailed instructions on how to write your plans in the planner and a smartphone app to remind you to use your planner daily for planning. Also, don't forget to have a rolling suitcase for all your pens, planners, tapes, stickers, rulers, erasers, etc., etc. And make sure that you have a planner with details on what to put in that rolling suitcase.

I really wished there was a undated version of the Leuchtturm 1917 Weekly planners honestly. It's the format I use, but I revolve my year based on school. This means my beginning of the year is really in August, not January that the pre-dated ones are. I also prefer the books over binders. I feel like the binders take more room than books honestly and that's probably from the 2inch binders I have from work at this point. The day they make an undated weekly planner that I can modify the dates to my needs and not create the format would be great!
@kittensteaparty Жыл бұрын
Might not be the same, but today at a store (Ross) saw they had several weekly planners that went from July 2023 July 2024 albeit the paper is probably not as nice; don't remember the brand but if that kind of dating scheme is out there, it might be more suitable to your needs. The one I'm currently using is by Punch Studios and goes from August 2022 - December 2023 but what I don't like is that for some odd reason they only come in that 18 month variant & if wanted to continue using same type of planner a third of the pages on either of the planners would be redundant so looking to switch to a more normal planner that goes from January - December.

I wish there was a planner which was an "all-in-one" planner (w/ daily, weekly, and monthly sections in one planner). The hardest part would be figuring out the best layout for flow. Maybe like this: [Month 1 > Week 1 > Days of Week 1; [Month 1> Week 2 > Days of Week 2]...?
@sierrag2482 жыл бұрын
The Hobonichi Cousin has all three sections. It flows from all the months to the weeks and then the days. The comes as one full year book or a set of two half year books.

Planners should be dated, timed (at least hourly) with room for some notes and lined or graph for neatness. I've done the Bullet Journal thing once, for over 6 months, but without structure it descends into scribbling without any discernible. Doodling in planners on every page is not a planner, no more than you would doodle in a check register. You are calendaring. Scheduling time. Trust me, I have 6 planners and they all serve a different function-Business, Legal Casework (I don't want client information next to personal information), Household/Personal, Portable (Filofax), Desk Planner (my main Planner-Erin Condren Life Planner Binder hourly, which I'm not entirely sold on), and Social Media/Blogging/Writing. When your life gets a bit complicated, you'll be glad for the space one affords when you use multiple planners. :-)
@demonheart134 жыл бұрын
My signature includes a doodle... Does that count? But yeah no, writing out a planner in a minimal no art style is fine if thats your thing, but personally if i did that (and ive tried) i tend to not use things i don't doodle in. From notebooks and tests back in highschool to work documents and planners. (I don't bullet journal per say, just customizing existing planners) a planner is useless if you don't want to use it, so doodling is fine if it motivates you to open it up.
@katie46234 жыл бұрын
“Larger planners give you more space but smaller planners are easier to carry around”. Seriously? Stating the obvious is not good content. It’s also incredibly condescending.
