Nice seeing people sharing content for others. The rubber selection depends on what will be accelerated - here the spear. Thinner/shorter spears can use a single rubber. Absolutely. The selection of the tube depends on budget and carbon is used for smaller guns so they can float after the shot - or for longer guns (added rigidity). The aluminum tubes that have an integrated rail are absolutely stiff - we use 120s and 140s and never saw any bending, using 2x16mm bands. Probably you refer to low-quality pipe guns when talking about bending. Personally I tend to use mainly the shorter gun for any scenario as I like the maneuverability of shorter spearguns. To get closer to fish just fin a bit more to close the gap - or have more patience (and breath hold) for fish to come in closer. The critical point here (talking about tube lenghts) from a safety point of view is that guns should float after the shot (no shaft on them). You are right for the UK - power is not the priority. 🤣🤣 there is no right or wrong. Just a personal opinion 🤣 To be fair I do miss the doubles for adjustability of power. But I love the simpleness off a single band.
