Awesome video. Ive done RC cars for about 8 years and it drives me nuts how little people understand the batteries in airsoft. This video is spot on with everything and I might share it with new RC people too. People think they are super explsosive if you look at them wrong but in all the years Ive worked with lipos Ive only ever had one explode and it was on my brand new at the time 4wd race buggy when I plugged in the terminals wrong. As long as you take some care of them they work just fine. I was kinda shocked when I got back into airsoft and still see people using ancient NIMH batteries and Tamiya connectors. Deans has been in the RC world since the 90s and Lipos have almost completly replaced NIMHs in the late 2000s. Still waiting on more affordable brushless systems in airsoft tho. Anyway awsome content and I can't wait to see what's next

It's mostly because of the PSAs plastered all over lipos in online shops. People just see that LiPos have a safety warning, but nickles don't, so they just go with the most idiot proof option

Can't say I've had the same experience as you with Titan batteries - mine has lasted 2 years so far, trigger response is fine so the C rating doesn't bother me, and being able to leave it charged without worrying about decomposing is a great feature.

Hey there- experiences may vary regarding the QC issues, and we've heard that Titan has improved their manufacturing quality. However, we want to stress that Titan batteries (or any lithium-ion cells) are not immune to electrolytic decomposition when left charged. The 18650s that Titans are constructed from simply hide the swelling inside a sealed metal shell, while still undergoing the same loss of capacity and increase in internal resistance as any other lithium-ion cell left at full charge. We always recommend discharging lithium-polymer or lithium-ion cells to appropriate storage voltage when not in use to maximize lifespan and performance.

I Finally found an airsoft video that actually understands LiPo batteries! It so frustrating having done all the RCs and airsoft for decades, and for some reason Airsoft is always way behind on tech and general knowledge among the community. This is definitely the only Airsoft channel I’ve seen yet that understands what the “C” rating means 😂 I always shake my head when I see reputable channels say don’t use more than 20c🤦♂️

Thank you for this video I've used liposuction for a decade and this was a great summary. Let me know if you need any machined parts! I run a cnc shop with a devision that does airsoft components

Another great guide I can spam at newer players who need a helping hand. Excellent work!

Is there any generic RC LiPo's you'd recommend that would fit inside an E&L AK? Trying to find a better fitting battery, and want to shift away from Titan after hearing all the issues with them. Especially after hearing how certain MOSFET's interact with a Li-Ion battery (not very well lol)

Why is 11.1 fully charged at 12.6 and not at 11.1? I don't get it

I was wondering if you guys could do a video on this WE MP5SD from swit airsoft. I've been looking at it for a while but haven't seen any reviews.

Very good video. Soldering tips are all sufficient to get the job done, you just need more practice and clean the tip of the iron off. Ps heat the solder a little more when joining the wire to connect and try to not let it move when cooling as that will weaken the joint.

trying to help the community, or is the GBBR fatigue setting in ;) dont misunderstand, i really appreciate high grade AEG content, but the channel seemed very focused on GBBR stuff

Our team actually uses a mix of AEGs, GBBs, and HPA; we aren't dedicated to any particular platform. We just find that there's usually much less to talk about with AEGs, so we prefer to focus on more niche content- gas blowback, grenade launchers, shotguns, flamethrowers, and whatever other DIY projects we cook up. Don't worry, more GBB stuff is coming soon.

@@ExplosiveEnterprises no worries, as said, i really appreciate high quality AEG stuff, also did you ever experiance the pain of finding out you forgot the shrink wrap AFTER soldering?

For me AEG fatigue set in after I bought the 3rd one. I'm at 9 GBBRs and I have my eyes on number 10 and 11 once they become available.

No flux and your tip is grungy! Soldering is much easier with flux and a clean tip.

Genuinely thought this video was going to be him throwing the batteries away and replacing it with an HPA LMG build lol

So, i could use an 11.1v 8000MAH RC battery and use it on my Airsoft rifle!? thats amazing and cost saving! Now i need to print a stubby stock

I use AEGs so very little that I never bought a LiPo. A good old NiMh works well, can pull even an M140 spring and it's less of a fire hazard. Oh and btw, I did forget to unplug my battery once for 3 weeks. How awesome. I could recharge the NiMh afterwards but for some reason the JeffTron forgot all it's settings. Which is weird because you can unplug it and it retains the settings forever.

ppl who use a nimh are the tards running around in glasses crying about some one shooting them in the face, or just full on army wannabe not calling his hit. reason 1% of ppl use a nimh.
