This may be the best review of any product I've ever seen. Most reviewers wouldn't wait after months of use (and not try to edit their appearance) to review it, but you showed the wear (and bit of tear) and described how it got to be that way, which is more helpful than someone who only wears them a few hours at a time and only for looks, not function. I think I'd go for the Brixtons because I prefer closed shoes, the soft leather sounds easier to break in, and option for collapsing the back is like two in one! I'd love to see more Gucci shoe reviews from you.

I love loafers. I own a few myself. Obviously nothing fancy but I do love wearing them especially in autumn with a snuggly jumper! I remember when you bought your gucci loafers! I absolutely love them. Comfy is key. I find a lot of shoes rub my feet so it's great they're comfortable. Great review!

Ooh I remember when you got these - gosh time flies!! They still look PERFECT! Truly quality worth investing in 😍 I completely agree the princetowns are the most flattering, but I had secondhand pain (is this a thing?! it should be haha) when you talked about wearing them in - I would not be able to handle it I think! I typically am a bit perfectionist and want items to look pristine, but the creasing just looks so much better on these shoes 😍 For sure a perfect city summer shoe! And truly a testament to how much you love them that you haven't been able to part with them to get them soled 😁 You're also making me crave a gucci purchase 😂😍

Thanks so much! I do actually think they look great worn in and don't mind the little crease on them, especially when you wear them it just looks very natural and not damaged or anything. The quality has been amazing, I totally need more Gucci loafers, especially for the autumn because these will not be winter shoes! I am thinking about getting the Britons next because they have truly been the best investment piece for me!

Hi Kat! I love all the different styles, the Princetown is really pretty. I have no idea how high is the arch in my foot, lol. But it's not flat for sure :). I am glad they're comfortable for you, especially if you walk a lot. Whenever I wear open toe shoes I have to wash my feet the moment I get home, they collect quite a bit of dust. These shoes are so nice! I’ve never had a pair of shoes soled before. Am I saying that correctly? I am one to use and abuse my shoes too! What I find frustrating is I normally buy affordable shoes but they get beaten up so quickly and I’m never in love with any pair. I always feel like it would be a waste of money if I buy an expensive pair. I will look into where I can get my shoes soled!

Oh yeah you should totally look into it if you wear a pair in and they suit you well! It can be really hard to find a good pair of shoes, so it took me forever to invest in these ones too for that reason! Resoling your shoes can be cheaper than buying new ones, especially if you know it's a good investment because it's a comfy pair of shoes that suits a lot of what you own!

Amazing product review 👏 So detailed and informative! I actually tend to sole my nicer shoes right away because something about wearing down the original sole would give me anxiety 😲 but it's a good point about making sure the shoe is a good fit for you before investing more money into it! (And time until you can start wearing it!)

Hi Kat, I remember when you bought them and how excited you were....and I would be too. They are very very nice and they look super comfortable. It sucks the Summer is short there though b/c I know I would want to wear them very often for the price tag. LOL. Actually, I think I would pass on those b/c my feet are super sensitive and it sounded very hard to wear in. LOL.I never heard about getting shoes soled but for how much they cost I would do that too to keep them as new as possible. Great video and fw...and I think they would look cute with tights.

I have a pair of amazon mules of the exact same design as these in black and a pair of Gucci mules In white. I wear the amazon ones more because they look more polished and professional than my Gucci shoes. The wrinkles are from the leather and it blows my mind how much I paid and how poor they look in comparison to my $24 amazon shoes that I wear everyday. For anyone looking to buy the $800 pair just make sure you really really are ok with your shoes having the super worn in look.

Hi! I wear size 40 in almost all of my shoes! I have super narrow feet with a high arch. I bought the Brixtons in a 39 and the princetowns in a 40, my proper size. So I would recommend getting your regular size for them :) I hope you love them as much as I do x
