How to Choose Heat Management System? Stainless Steel HMD vs Kaloud Lotus

In today’s video, we are reviewing and comparing a stainless steel hookah heat management device.
First thing, it’s made out of one piece of stainless steel, so there are no bolts at the bottom compared to the Lotus Kaloud, which sometimes gets rusty.
It’s easy to clean if you clean it right after your hookah session. In our case, after a couple of sessions, it wasn't that easy to clean as it was advertised.
It also comes without a lid. So, we'll need to pay attention to the heat distribution and adding or removing charcoals.
This stainless steel HMD fits 3 25 millimeter charcoals. So, it’s pretty big. The only issue we had was that since it’s stainless steel, you need a lot of time to heat this up and get the hookah session going. After it’s ready, you have to play around with removing or adding charcoals to keep up with the heat. So I guess you have to get used to it.

I really prefer the Na Grani or Hoob steel HMDs over a regular Lotus, and I've been using the Lotus for years now. Flavor's better, you can really squeeze out more buzz out of heat-resistant Russian dark leaves, and most importantly, it turns any underpack into a regular pack which saves you some grams and leaves the bottom plate pristine. It's also so much more sturdy than the Lotus The only bad thing about it is it takes one more coal and you really need a windcover or a Lotus lid for the last half hour

I am using that kind of hmd named "На грани" as the kaloud 1+ is kinda expensive in my country and it is basically the same once you get used to it and learn how to control the heat with it.I am starting with 3 x 26 after around 5 mins and a couple of smokes i am removing one and if it gets too harsh put a one above the other aside and it is perfectlly fine for 90 min session with dark leaf tobacco at the end of the session adding the third inside when the coals gets smaller.

I use both kind of HMD but I realy prefer Na Grani over all. I smoke with 2 ½ charcoals and in order to clean it I put baking soda and leave it 30 minutes in boiled water. Without much effort with a meta brush I clean it👌🏼

I love using stainless steel but usually with foil like a mason helyx / gravyl 3 x 25's I get a solid 90 minute session 💨
