How to Choose the BEST FTSO Delegation for Flare Songbird Rewards

Purpose of this video is to show you how to delegate your FLR and SGB tokens to the BEST FTSO Delegator weekly. Flare networks FTSO providers provide you with rewards weekly but you must understand how to maximize those rewards. You must access a few of the FTSO app to see the 1)Reward rate 2)Vote power (under 2.5%) 3)Fees. Once you have these you can then delegate with confidence and max out rewards. My man!!! Some VERY valuable information! When we first got our FLR airdrop, I just delegated 50/50 to Bifrost and FTSOAU. I've never changed it since. Didn't know to change it, didn't think to change it and never realised you could find better rewards elsewhere. This video is superb!!! I'm changing my delegation NOW! Bifrost has a vote power of 3.98% and a 20% Fee with a reward rate of 0.002 as of the time of this writing! Thanks heaps for this video!!!! 👌👌👌👌

Hey Steve, glad I found you. Awesome content! It's very clear and concise, with a maximum signal to noise ratio! One thing I'm not clear on is how this new FTSO system affects things. The new system apparently uses 3.5 day epochs like FLR, but I'm not sure how this changes selection, weekly vs 3.5 day changes, etc. Can you clarify this or perhaps do a video on the new system?

@@waynefrick1 yea 100%. IT’s running in line with how Flare delegations are already working. The change to sgb really was made to match FLR epochs and reward periods

You haven't pointed out in any of your videos I've watched that if you decide to change your delegations, timing is very important. You need to make changes within a week of the last Flare drop, and within 42 hours of each reward epoch (biweekly reward). If you change your delegation later than 8 days after a flare drop you will not get any rewards until the next cycle. And the same thing goes for the reward epochs, but they aren't as critical because they happen every 3.5 days. So while it's good to monitor the best performing FTSO providers, changing at the wrong time will devastate your returns. Also it's good to point out and make sure people understand, if a provider has more than 2.5% of the vote, they will not be a good pick. It's best to pick the providers that arent at the very top of the list because everyone picks them and they immediately go well over 2.5%. Just look at Lena Instruments for example. I picked them over 2 months ago when they were the best, and they were under 2.5%. Then they shot up to 4.9% of the vote share and are today ranked #25.

Thanks for the video. Can you tell me why SGB rewards are so low in the last two epics? My reward rate dropped significantly and I had delegators listed in top 5. My Flare token rewards have not changed significantly at all. Funny thing is I am using same delegators for both SGB and FLR. SGB rewards have dropped by half in the last two epics and as I said, my delegations are in the top five. Does this sound correct to you? Have you seen the same results? Thanks

Yes, that has to do with the recent voting changing how delegation rewards are being provided based on FTSO conversions to the new FIP protocols. Additionally, the last two Epochs were split to every 3.5 days like Flares has been. Long story short you should start to see your SGB rewards get back in line.

Thanks for explaining that. I looked everywhere for that answer. As for changing delegators, can you also tell me when I should change providers if I see a better return with another provider 0:32 ? If looking at SolidiFi under rewards you see the claiming cycle for flare. If you do want to switch providers to a better performing one should you make the delegation right before the end of the current epoch you are in as shown on that graph (Flare Weekly Reward Epoch Cycle)? Will you still receive the reward for the current epic you are in and be able to collect for the next epoch with your new provider? In other words do you have to change providers before the new epic begins and as late as possible for the current epic so not to miss a reward?
