How to choose the best "learn to play flute" book

Trevor Wye beginner flute book, hands down. It's from England which means you can probably get it in Australia (it's fantastically popular even here in the US) and I think it's great for adult beginners.

The young flute player by Karen North book 1 and 2 I learnt from. The young at heart flute player book 6 is Adult learners.

I also think the BAG approach is good at showing how the flute fundamentally works because each finger down 'lengthens' the tube and thus the pitch lowers and I think that's a good lesson early on. Also, some of the easiest and well-known songs work great with the BAG notes.
