How to Choose the Perfect White Paint -

I need help. My house here in Texas gets full sun all day. At this moment, I like Extra White with a LRV of 86. Another consideration is Alabaster, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Alabaster is better for exterior Extra white is too bright for outside

That was awesome! You were describing me, down the crazy white rabbit hole! I've spent HOURS reading every article and watching every video! I'm going somewhere where the whites I can choose from for the interior are Pure White or Extra and I'm unable to get into the space with my Samplize before choosing. I'm afraid Extra White will be too dead and flat but that Pure White will be too yellow so I was very glad to hear you say there's really not much different between them once they're on the wall. I thought Pure White was not just lower LRV but with a touch of both black and yellow and is considered a "soft" white compared to Extra which is more crisp. The other factor I'm considering is the cabinets are a VERY bright ice white. I totally love a seamless monotone look (same color on everything) but I feel Extra White might look like I tried to match and failed but Pure White will look dingy compared to the ice white cabinets and have read all the surfaces should be either all warm or all cool. (Warm and cool can be mixed after like cool white vases, dishes etc. but all warm or all cool cabinets, trim, walls). But I've also heard Pure White runs neutral and can go warm or cool depending on what's around it. So maybe the icy cabinets will make the warm in Pure White not as warm? Anyway, you can see, I'm one of those crazy people so thanks for the video!

I read a lot about white too, I try 10 white samples 🤣😅 but the location I am is horrible too choose a wall color. But I am so happy to try with « samplize » best way to try color paints! The way people in blog, YT, designer, name it, (all over) describe color in my home, nothing look like that 😆 Pure white look beautiful on the sample, in the home of my friend … but in my home H***F***😅 it’s look like drywall not paint and dingy … I finish to find the right one after so many try 😅 I hope you succes to find the good one!

I’m wanting emerald interior like eggshell. But only comes in satin is there satin same as eggshell. That’s what sw told me ?

But I am so happy to try with « samplize » best way to test color. The way people in blog, YT, designer, name it, (all over) describe color in my home, nothing look like that 😆 Pure white look beautiful on the sample, in the home of my friend … but in my home H***F***😅 it’s look like drywall not paint and dingy … I start with 4 theorical wonderful whites, but the reality is nothing look good in that first 4 samples! After that fail, I look the white samples on wall and I move to that, ok this look too dark what is the LRV, ok this look so dingy no with this undertone. I finish to find the right one in that way 😅 I have very good knowledge about paint, design, environnment, undertone and white it’s the more difficult color the choose 😅 I am so happy to finaly check the box to chose a white paint 😆! After that choose the color for doors, island are so simple and only put 3 samples and 15 min after my choose are donne at 95% just verify variation during the day White the light.
