there is a large, annual art fair in San Francisco. it seems it's for established galleries and local emerging artists, but not a niche show.

Cliff DaRiff I am sure there are so many contemporary art fairs in SF area. It’s one of the best places to work as an artist and content creator! But also very expensive. I read on Reddit, a weekend flea market could cost 300€ to participate. In our town it costs 6€ per day per show.

Of course I mean in a small town of 300,000 people, with average salary of 1000€ a month, everything is relatively cheap. It can not be compared to SF. But a flea market place for €6 was dirt cheap! Not a booth though, just a space like a parking.

@@VeryPrivateGallery yeah SF cost money, honestly the art scene was from early 60s to early 80s (The Bay Area Figurative movement) they say. good art and film schools here, but I think the art scene is probably in L.A.

@@VeryPrivateGallery of course the Silicon Valley high tech, content creators as you say, many entrepreneurial starts etc. that's the real scene. I'm not sure, but most artist live outside the city now.

@@VeryPrivateGallery even the great ones lived outside the city: David Park, Manuel Neri, Richard DiebenKorn, Roy DeForest, Peter Voulkas, Joan Brown and others. I wish I had a better pulse of the city but don't.
