I’ve been using 18g to draw test and 25g 1” for test cyp 200mg/ml. I’m switching to 27g 1” 1ml since I’m doing every 4 days now. For peptides I’ve been using 31g 1/2” insulin needle.

CDC Vaccine administration guidelines for proper IM needle length: For adults, the deltoid muscle is recommended for routine intramuscular vaccinations (23) (Figure 3). The anterolateral thigh also can be used. When injecting into the deltoid muscle, for adults a measurement of body mass/weight is allowable prior to vaccination, understanding that resources to measure body mass/weight are not available in all clinical settings. For men and women who weigh 90 kg) or men who weigh >260 lbs (>118 kg), a 1.5-inch needle is recommended (table 6-2) (20). For injection into the anterolateral thigh muscle, a 1.5-inch needle should be used, although a 1-inch needle may be used if the skin is stretched tightly and subcutaneous tissues are not bunched.

My nursing school doesn't teach glute injections, we do the upper hip, by the iliac crest.

That IS a glute injection. It's the gluteus medius (ventrogluteal injection). The typical glute injection that you're probably referring to is the dorsogluteal injection (gluteus maximus). However, the one you are talking about IS the best for intramuscular injections, and I'm doing a video on this soon. So thanks for bringing it up!

You are correct it is a glute injection, we just dont use do the dorselgluteal because of all the fat people tend to have on their buttocks, you know how nervous some can get with the long needles. Can't wait to see the new video.

@@GlitterMrs They don't know any better; and its these universal "one size fits all" procedures that hold back the medical community. Some people have a mile of fat on their butt where you'd need a harpoon to get to the muscle. Others have very little. Maybe you can switch to the arm but that's not a whole lot better. Anyway, that's for me as the patient to complain about. You have to follow your training.

HI Pablo! Thank you for such a great video. I see in your video and with other instructors the use of a 1ml syringe. My dose is 1ml so the plunger sticks all the way out and makes it difficult to self inject (almost impossible, trying to keep it steady and pushing in). Is it ok to use a 2.5ml or 3ml syringe with a 22ga 1" needle as I am injecting in my shoulder. Thanks!

Great info. Thank you I really like your videos. I got some recent training from my doctor’s staff. One particular nurse used a 21ga 1.5” needle and only went in about 1.25” but maybe not deep enough but I felt more pressure as she injected me which was odd - usually I don’t feel anything. Maybe it was too shallow? Or she deposited it too fast? She had a very quick push and was done in a second or two. That evening I had a lump at the site even after massaging it throughout the day. It seems tricky even for trained people. I guess I will have to book another office appointment with a different nurse to get her input before I am comfortable self injecting.

I have allways shot my quads, they are big and fat free, they are right in front of me. I changed to backfilling a insulin needle.

I inject myself on the quads, I'm fairly lean on that part of my body, I normally use a 25 gauge needle, but I don't know if thats going to be IM or SQ and if the oil will be absorbed properly, now, if a use a 27 gauge will be SQ and will absorbed properly? Great informative video

Just started TRT last week and I am not a big fan of IM injections, is it acceptable to use SubQ for Test injections? Also, Do you have a preference for which method may be more effective? You can get away subq but better im It absorbs better. More blood in the muscle and really doesn't hurt. Goid luck

Use a drawing needle. Unless you're hitting a bone or some type of growth. Otherwise, just alter the injection sight.

I've used 30g 1/2 slin pins for the chest, bicep and delts with trt, what do you think of this I push down fairly hard I'm a 15% meso so I feel like I get away with it.

If it's working for you, that's all that matters. Sounds like a subcutaneous injection, and if that works, great!

Glaukos agreed I’ve watched many bodybuilders on KZbin swear by. It prevents scar tissue and is brilliant for everyday pinning. Aslong as you are not over weight it will reach the muscle. And to be honest even if it didn’t, there is nothing wrong with subQ

Hello, I have 27 gauge needles 1/2 inch for debts. Is that OK? My current BF is 26 (hopefully going to go down) but there seems to be no fat in delts. I am reading people suggest 1/2 at delta or 5/8 at am angle for debts. Does this make sense? Thank you

It helped somewhat. But TRT doesn't fix your head, despite what others in the community may say/think. Anxiety and depression have numerous causes. The more likely causes are childhood and parenting, traumatic life events and PTSD. If TRT doesn't resolve it completely, then you know there's something else going on that you need to look into and work on.

I’m never horny, force myself to eat enough, always sleepy and depressed and anxious.... since Monday ( now Saturday ) I’ve fucked my mrs twice a day, I’m active, just feel alive, my anxiety and depression has been pretty good. TRT can also increase your anxiety if you don't get your T/E2 ratio dialed in. Too much E2 or too little can cause an increase in baseline anxiety. It's especially a common problem with too high levels of total T w/o an AI.

I did a shoulder injection yesterday with a 23g 1.5 needle n only went in 3/4 of the way I feel I should have went to the tube but don’t think I could go deeper.. next injection I’ll use glutes to get to the tube for a real intermuscle deposit

That might be cutting it a bit fine and be too short. Probably better to just buy the proper length needle, which in your case will likely be a 1 inch 25G.
