Hi! There are some university’s in Germany that have no age limit - but keep in mind that you have to pass the competitive admission test, which is on a high level! Wish you all the best! 🍀❤️

I'd like to ask another question. I'm already 24 and have a bachelor in Accounting in Iran. I intend to study composition bachelor in Germany Are there gonna be age limitations applying for me? How can i know if the university I'm applying for has age limitaions?

Hi! Conservatoire is just the english term for "Hochschule". In Germany we do use the word "Konservatorium" but these are normally just music schools where you can’t study music for Bachelor/Master (there are a few exceptions for different subjects). Everytime I speak about conservatoires I mean Hochschule. I would love to make a video about the German language, but German is my mother tongue and therefore I don’t know what to say about learning the language… Yes there are sometimes age restrictions, but they are different from Hochschule to Hochschule, but mostly for instrumentalists and singers. There are a lot of composers that I know, that studied something else before composition. Do your research, but I would not worry too much about that! Hope this was helpful!

Hi! I am not an expert in this topic, but I know that the Hochschule für Musik Detmold has a lot of choirs where you can participate as a student. The choirs are normally advertised on the website of each university. Hope that helps! :)

Hi! There are quite a lot of options, it depends what you want to learn in your studies. Do you like to focus on your guitar technique, do you want a general overview over the pop music industry or just learn in general about music? It really helps, if you know already what you want to do as a job afterwards and then choose your course. As I don’t know, what you want to do exactly, I can’t recommend you anything… Best of luck!

Hey Asmita! I am afraid I never heard about a scholarship for the admission fee. Where there is a will there is a way! You can certainly contact some funding organisations and explain your situation. Maybe they can help? I wish you all the best!

Would you suggest me few or help me with this information, I also did few research and shortlisted few Music university In Berlin and other states.

Hey Ambasal! Thank you for your comment! I think it is difficult to say what the best university for double bass is, as this is always subjective. For one, it is much more important to get on well with the teacher than, for example, studying in a very large class. I would recommend that you read the biographies of double bassists you like and find out where they studied. Or you can see where the winners and participants of the last double bass competitions (for example ARD competition) studied, which can be sometimes a good indicator. Because I studied at Hanns Eisler, I know that the double bass classes are very good and all the double bass players I know were very happy with their lessons. I also heard that the double bass class from Hochschule für Musik Nuremberg is very good. But of course that is only subjective! It is best to do your own research because often something is not as good for one as it is for another. I hope that helps! Best wishes :)
