I started my locs a few months ago and decided to semi-freeform. For me, that means i started my locs without uniform or clean parting. I likely won't retwist or interlock. I plan to just separate and pop them when needed. Thus far, they are thick, healthy, frizzy, and a little unruly, just like i wanted. 😊❤ Your locs are beautiful and thank you for the video. 😊

@@Brinaweenahwoo I love that!! I think the unruliness of semi-Freeform is very different & brave which makes them unique 💞 thank you for watching!

I started freeforming 2 years ago but now I have to change styles. Still coping with the fact I'll never see this set fully dropped 😔

Outside of braids is there any notable difference in the time it takes the different methods to mature? I'm interested in starting with comb coils at the moment but since I'm already locked now I think I might be a little impatient. I don't mind waiting but if it's vastly slower compared to other methods I might reconsider Also, are there any starter methods that particularly work well with less sectioning? I kinda dig the "scalpless" loc look

@@nyshyn307 so it will definitely depend on your hair texture. Coils do take a while to mature they may take a year or longer to mature because they tend to be high maintenance in the beginning. 2 strand twist only take 6 months to a year to loc depending on hair texture. Yes that is called pick and go! You can definitely loc your hair with less sectioning won’t necessarily be Freeform because you’ll still be retwisting and maintaining them . But the pick and go look is very natural. I actually have a friend who did this and she loves it!

@@MellyInspo what's a pick and go? I don't think I've ever heard it used in this sense

It is just grabbing a random piece of hair and twisting it. Instead of doing neat sections or a specific parting method.

@@MellyInspo ah okay that sounds similar to how I started, but a lot more intentional
