I had to sell my MPC500 to make the rent in 2012. Thought I'd visit him here for some nostalgia. Already looking at Ebay listings, this little guy is CHEAP as at the 'mo!

Yo DyReck thank you so much for explaining this method. Some days from now I will get this mpc as my first one and I can imagine being mad at the hard work everyone got on choping with it. Im starting with the right foot with your advice!

No doubt bro..The 500 is not the easiest MPC to learn..I would say the 1000 is..But if you dont mind combining it with your computer workflow using a software to do all the complicated editing stuff. The 500 is awesome.

dope tutorial! quick, to the point, helping me improve my mpc 500 workflow in 2020. very cool B) one thing to note is that when you resample like this, any filters, tune, sample level (volume), and possibly effects that you applied to your original pad, will be saved as part of your new sample audio. You can probably use this in creative ways, but more likely it will be something you have to correct for, especially with volume.

Anyone figure out how to use an external HDD with this bad boy? I've seen mixed results in forums but most answers are 8+ years old. I've read about some success with SATA to IDE adaptors but idd really like to know before I pull the trigger.
