Idea for ya...I just got my MPC Live 2 and I'm having a tough time with keeping all programs and samples and this and that and the next thing straight. I already have made a big mess with directories. Anyhow, explaining how you keep things in order and also how the MPC stores stuff.

Ive been trying to figure out how to add my chopped samples to a different drum program... or like a customized one instead of them all landing in whatever black program (program 1) is pulled up. Basically so I can have custom chops and drum samples in the same program but after I make my chops. Also can I do specifics to each sample instead of the entire program (like the tune down with the semi button). In this case Im wanting maybe one chop to be in the original key and the next pad to be tuned 3 semi frequencies down. Something like that

Lets say I find a chop I like. Can I do 16 notes and save multiple tones of that same note to the same bank as the original?

Hey man just subbed. When you pitch it down like that is there a place where you can see what key the new pitched sample is in? Like almost like Serato sample where you can see the new key? So you can make a baseline melodies etc to match.

There has to be an option to get better slices. If anybody knows. But otherwise thank you, most videos don't show us that last step how to create a drumkit out of a sliced samples. Thank you.

I can’t do the method the manual chop.. every time I press the first pad the sample doesn’t continue playing so I can slice to other pads like yours…whyyyyyy? Is it a setting or is it cause I’m on mpc one ?

My problem is. Let say I have a sample at 100bpm. Anytime I go to chop mode it goes back to 120bpm. If I hit program it goes back to 100bpm

one of the chopped samples could be on warp, check to see if that would be the problem
