8:12 I actually use the Regions-function in a completely different way in some cases. Which might be interesting to share! I often use the "Regions" function to change up the types of slices I get from samples. Instead of counting how many counts there are in a sample and then making that many Region-Chops, I'll just make 16/32/64 or 128 regions (depending on how long the sample is) regardless of the count of the original sample. That way I get slices in places where I'd normally never put them manually, often also off the grid of the original sample. Then I'll make a drum loop that I keep playing and I go look in the Region-Chops for slices that fit nicely together and go nicely with the drum loop. It makes the whole process feel like you're looking for just the right puzzle pieces to make the picture (your beat) show itself. In most cases you'll still have to edit the start and end points of the chops to get rid of clicks and pops. Or you can adjust the attack and release for the same goal. It works especially well with long samples that don't have any or have limited percussive elements in the instrumentation.

That's the best & most beautiful part about the MPC is that 10 diff people can use it 10 diff ways. You're comment makes a lot of sense. Cool way to work. Makes for so many more possibilities.

I gotta say this video is really great and helpful from the beginning to the end because you teach how to trim using q link which is for me a very simple way of choose the start point and the end point of what you want from the sample, i found the manual chops and the way of erase them when you see yourself committing a mistake a really cool way to not lose hope on your beat i like also the explanation about the region to reduce the number of bars if you feel so.Keep the good work.

Hi Malobeats! I’ve been watching a lot of your videos recently and really fell in love with your content. I’m a DAW-based producer and i dont even own an mpc. But after watching you create beats and having so much fun, im seriously considering getting myself an mpc. I always thought i can make better music in DAW. I still do. But you taught me that its not always about efficiency or the outcome. If I can have that much fun and joy, MPC will be definitely worth it. Thank you for sharing your joy Keep up!

I just left this comment on another video of yours not releasing it was an older one, so here it is: I now have the MPC Key 37 and I'm looking for tutorials since it's my very first MPC product. Would you agree that it's the same exact same product as the MPC One Plus? There's no tutorials out there for the MPC Key 37 and I've noticed that the functionality is almost the same as the MPC One Plus. Thanks.
