Which look do you like better? This shoot or the previous one?
@RoyPhotography3 ай бұрын
i like this one, as it seems less distracting and more focus on subject.... also, like to know, camera settings & post processing
@nicolaswojdacki62773 ай бұрын
Yeah I remember that earlier video! Honestly, I think I liked the previous one better, both for the camera angles that gave you a wider field of view and more difference between shots and because the lower ratio grounded you more in the gym space, while on this one I feel the background is kind of more anonymous. Loved the breakdown as always, though! Thanks for continuously taking us with you on set.

Perfect tutorial! I love that that you showed the false color and turned off all the lights one by one to show exactly what they were doing. Crazy that you use d the 600w light at full power! Shows how important powerful lights are. Subscribed!

Audio engineer here, I would probably allowed a little more of the background noise because of the energy it gives, but that's just taste. It is really easy to remove too much when you start to denoise. One tends to overdo the audio cleaning. If it were the other way around.. You were making a commercial in a quiet studio you would probably ad more BG noise to make it believable... :-) But as always, great video.!

Looks great. My only opinion is, the background being this dark, at first glance it's really hard to tell what location you are filming in. Maybe split the difference. Again that's just my opinion, for what it's worth. The audio processing was amazing clean up. How did you clean up the background noise in the audio ? Thanks for sharing BTS video.

I was about the say the same thing about the background. It's too much, especially when you see how much detail there is in LOG.

I do have a client on the hook that I’ll be using as a portfolio piece to shop to potential clients. As a beginner I didn’t know if you started out cold calling until you built a strong portfolio and name or what.

Very good job, it looks very neat. Only thing (I know its really a personal taste at this point), but for me, the background is too dark. Specially on the close up, you don't recover enough texture, contrast, it's mainly all crushed. Looks like it is for a gym, not a investigation report. I think its important to understand what is the context and the feeling of the video. This setup looks to me that it is for something serious, like a murder case or something. Again, this is just my personal taste here, if you and the client are liking it, that's the most important thing here :) Keep up the good work!
@jimee9983 ай бұрын
Agree! My boss's would complain that it's just too moody and dark in the back.
@ty-k67083 ай бұрын
Do you over expose, or expose correctly for Slog? 99% of people on youtube say you need to over expose by 1 or 2 stops and then bring it down in post. But with your false color lut, it looks like you're exposing correctly?
@ChuckRiseUp3 ай бұрын
when using the Phantom Luts there is no need to overexpose your image in my opinion. Been working with these luts for 2 years now and I always expose accordingly to the scene (and if I want to protect my shadows or my highlights)
@parkercreative_au3 ай бұрын
You don’t need to overexpose on the newer sensors
@PDMokry3 ай бұрын
I expose b-roll by eye most of the time with focus on skin tone highlights. For the interviews I use false color and get it right for the brightest part of the face.
@woodsmedia-au3 ай бұрын
The lighting looks great and we in the industry can all appreciate, but I thinks it’s overkill unless the client wants a specific look and is willing to pay for, but generally they don’t. It’s an apature video showing off lights, but for me it’s not a day to day reality. Show me an efficient interview set up in 45min to film a testimonial that looks good, that would be higher value content I believe.
