One of the effects of haze on the face specifically is that it seems to diffuse things. I was wondering what if we used a ProMist and no haze and then compared? I know that the rest of the room apart from the face will still lack that light spread that the diffusion causes in the background.

if that is the only option, try to use negative fill on one side to increase the contrast on the face, or flag off part of the window so it isn't as washed out! Hope this helps!!
