How To Clean A Boxfan

I am by no means trying to be rude, but I have never ever let my box fans get that dirty. I may be wrong, but to me, the dirt lessens the revolutions of the blades. As well, I don't like all the crud letting loose all over the house!! But you should also be able to pull the blades off with a gentle upwards pull and then you can wash them in the tub as well. The insides of the back of the blades get filthy as well.

you can unscrew the disk holding the blades on and clean outside.

I just take mine outside and turn it on high than hose it

If it works for you! That's another way to do it. I would be concerned that the little motor would get wet.
