Indeed, the beauty of this cleaning hack is that you can avoid the hassle of disassembling the fan. By using the special mixture and the plastic bag method, you can effectively remove a significant amount of dust and dirt without having to take apart the fan. It's a time-saving approach that's great for routine maintenance. Of course, in cases of stubborn dirt or sticky residue, a more thorough disassembly and cleaning might be necessary. Safety and convenience are key here! 😄👍

Haha, I can understand your frustration! Cleaning fans can be a tedious task, and disassembling them is not always the most enjoyable option. But hey, before you go full-on "fan demolition mode," you might want to give the toothpaste, water, dish soap, and vinegar method a shot. It could save you a lot of time and effort. The great thing about this cleaning hack is that it's designed to make your life easier by eliminating the need to disassemble the fan completely. You simply spray the mixture, cover it with a bag, and let the magic happen. It's definitely worth a try before resorting to the more drastic approach. But hey, whatever works best for you! If you do decide to go with the "fan demolition" route, just be sure to take all necessary safety precautions and, of course, unplug the fan first! Happy cleaning, whether it's the toothpaste mixture or the "fan demolition" method! 😄🔧

But you don't really need to disassemble it. When I thoroughly clean my fan I will remove the grill and would need to use a screw driver to remove the motor case/housing, the fan, the rear grill, the oscillating knob and so on. Personally I'd wash my fan 1-2 times a year. And in between those times I just use the air from the back of my vacuum because I don't have an air blower. It isn't as clean but it will do. So, If the technique in this video works then it'd be a pretty good tip to clean your fan (again basic cleaning, not thorough cleaning).
@HomeDIYTips

@@formerunsecretarygeneralba9536 You bring up an excellent point! For thorough cleaning sessions like the one you described, disassembling the fan is often necessary to access all the nooks and crannies where dust accumulates. However, for routine maintenance and basic cleaning, techniques like the one in this video can be incredibly helpful in keeping the fan clean without the need for full disassembly. It's all about finding the right balance between convenience and effectiveness based on individual cleaning preferences and the condition of the fan. So after spraying it with sticky goop and "cleaning" it without disassembling it... we're going to disassemble it to dry it off? I just take it outside, run it at top speed, and with a large brush just keep poking at the blades through the grille, from front and back, to sweep any dustbunnies off the grille and fanblades. The breeze just blows the dislodged dust out into the wild where it belongs. Works on everything from small table-fans to the huge box-fan I have in the living-room.

Why the tooth paste?!?!
@HomeDIYTips
@HomeDIYTips 2 ай бұрын
The toothpaste is used in the cleaning mixture because it helps to break down dirt and grime on the fan blades and guard. Its abrasive properties help to remove stubborn stains and residue, leaving the fan cleaner and more effective. Additionally, toothpaste contains ingredients that can help to freshen and deodorize the fan, leaving it smelling clean and fresh.

You're correct in observing that there was minimal dust on the fan cover and blades before the cleaning process. It's possible that the fan had been relatively clean prior to the demonstration. The purpose of the cleaning method shared in the video was to provide an alternative approach that eliminates the need for disassembling and scrubbing the fan. This method can be helpful for regular maintenance and quick cleaning to prevent excessive dust buildup. However, if your fan has significant dust or dirt accumulation, it may require a more thorough cleaning or disassembly. It's always important to adapt the cleaning method based on the specific condition of your fan.

vinigar, soap an water without dis assembling it an not properly dried up will invite rust to the motor? Onemore thing, English dubbed trans with English sub?lol
@HomeDIYTips
@HomeDIYTips 5 ай бұрын
Yes, you're absolutely right to be cautious about using vinegar, soap, and water directly on a fan without disassembling it completely and ensuring it's properly dried. Here are a few things to keep in mind to avoid potential issues like rust on the motor: 1. **Avoid Excessive Moisture:** When cleaning with any liquid, including vinegar, soap, and water, be careful not to oversaturate the fan. Excess moisture can indeed lead to rust, especially on metal components like the motor. 2. **Use a Gentle Cleaning Method:** If you're unable to disassemble the fan for a thorough cleaning, opt for gentle cleaning methods like using compressed air or a vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dust and debris. 3. **Ensure Proper Drying:** After cleaning, make sure to allow the fan to dry completely before plugging it back in. This will help prevent any moisture-related issues. Regarding your question about English dubbed translations with English subtitles, that would be quite the combination! Typically, dubbed versions are designed to replace the original language entirely, whereas subtitles provide translations of the original dialogue. Having both English dubbing and subtitles in English might seem redundant, but it could be useful for language learners or those who prefer to see and hear the language simultaneously. I hope these tips help, and let me know if you have any more questions!

You're right, I apologize for any confusion. In the cleaning process described, the guard is initially sprayed with the cleaning mixture while it is still attached to the fan. However, after the fan has been turned off and the bag has been removed, it is suggested to remove the guard for further cleaning and to ensure that any remaining residue is wiped away. Removing the guard allows for a more thorough cleaning of the fan blades and any hard-to-reach areas. Once the guard is removed, it can be wiped down to remove any residual dirt or cleaning solution.

What if i don't have vinegar?

If you don't have vinegar on hand, you can still effectively clean your fan using alternative ingredients. One option is to increase the amount of dish soap in the mixture to compensate for the absence of vinegar. Additionally, you can try substituting vinegar with lemon juice, which also has cleaning properties due to its acidity. Alternatively, you can omit the vinegar altogether and rely on the toothpaste, water, and dish soap mixture to help remove dust and grime from your fan. Experimenting with different combinations based on what you have available can still yield satisfactory results. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Would it work on a tower fan?
@HomeDIYTips
@HomeDIYTips Жыл бұрын
The cleaning method described above should work on a tower fan as well. Tower fans often have similar components, including blades or grills that can accumulate dust over time. The mixture of toothpaste, water, dish soap, and vinegar can effectively clean the blades and grills of a tower fan, just like it would for a traditional fan. However, as with any cleaning method, it's essential to exercise caution and ensure that the tower fan is unplugged before attempting any cleaning. Additionally, you might need to adapt the method slightly to fit the design of your specific tower fan, but the principle of using the cleaning mixture and a plastic bag to trap dust should still be effective. Remember that this method is excellent for routine maintenance and removing accumulated dust. If your tower fan has particularly stubborn dirt or sticky residue, you may need to consider disassembling it for a more thorough cleaning, as mentioned in the original instructions.
