But you don't really need to disassemble it. When I thoroughly clean my fan I will remove the grill and would need to use a screw driver to remove the motor case/housing, the fan, the rear grill, the oscillating knob and so on. Personally I'd wash my fan 1-2 times a year. And in between those times I just use the air from the back of my vacuum because I don't have an air blower. It isn't as clean but it will do. So, If the technique in this video works then it'd be a pretty good tip to clean your fan (again basic cleaning, not thorough cleaning).

I just take it outside, run it at top speed, and with a large brush just keep poking at the blades through the grille, from front and back, to sweep any dustbunnies off the grille and fanblades.
