I am so thrilled with this vacuum🌼 I was amazed, as well as horrified, how much cat fur it pulled from my carpets the first time I did a once over to test it out. It is perfect for families with furry pets.

I have a UH74200 and the top said to “turn top to clean”. I couldn’t get it to budge. So I slammed it several times on the floor. Hoover vacuums are pretty sturdy! I finally got it open. I cleaned the filter, but it was too wet to use. So for a temporary fix until the filter dries, I stuffed a couple of face masks in there. They fit perfectly and worked like a charm!

I took a screw drive and took that funnel apart n cleaned the entire thing and let it dry for two days with no problem. And it looked brand new.

I had already taken mine completely apart with all eight screws before I saw this video as I wasn't quite sure how to put it back together. I don't understand why Uber doesn't want you to submerse it in water because there are no parts that actually have a filter built into it in this system. It's all plastic parts that can be dried with a cloth before you put it back together

Thank you. I was given one of these, almost new condition, a few months ago. It would not suck and blew dust all over the house. Thanks to you I learned about the 2 foam filters. I actually cleaned mine by gently beating them with a stick. I also noticed that many of the holes in the main plastic filter were plugged with mud. I cleaned out the holes with a round toothpick. My guess is someone had used mine as a wet or dry vacuum or they washed the filter with water and used the vacuum before the filter was dry. Something else for people to check when cleaning the filters. Now my vacuum really sux !!!
