No, you can get the basics from even wally world. You'll want to make sure it has your caliber barrel brush and jag (if you don't want to use the slotted tip for patches). Make sure you have patches that are labeled for your caliber. I believe I used a .357 barrel brush. The nylon brushes can be found cheap in any hardware department.

I cannot get my striker mechanism to stay. After I removed the spring to clean the slide it won't stay in. I've tried every which way to get it to stay but it still pops out. I can assemble my gun but if I want to disassemble it I need to remember the spring will fly away.

I'm really not sure what I'd happening. I would have to look at it. But it sounds like the lock at the back of the slide needs replaced.

It's the take down process and reassembly. Just like the Ruger Mark lll. Why so complicated when it doesn't need to be?? Other than that, the Walther shoots nice, low recoil and reliability. Just saying!
