hello Angela, I am so happy I bumped into this video. Before I started my cleaning services in 2019, I had watched your videos. So many of them. It's been 4 years of up and downs but I have kept the faith and hope. This July, I will be marking 5 years in business. Now, I have expanded our services to residential{ sofas, mattresses, carpets, and deep home cleaning) then fumigation and pest control then sanitary bins supply. And when I was thinking about gym cleaning, boooom Angelo Brown video. You are a blessing. I am happy and still embracing daily learning.

Haha!!! Cuz you didn't get hurt with the inversion table blooper! I have an inversion table but that's never happened before! But I got to admit I was laughing!
@AskAngelaBrown Жыл бұрын
LOL. I've never tried it with shoe covers on, and let me tell you - you slip right out, then I got caught between the table and the frame. Ha ha. Don't be me. 😂

Thanks, Angela, for reminding all of us that lifting weights is IMPORTANT and for being a good example for us to follow. I wish I had a’punching Bob’. If I had one 25 years ago, I would be in much better shape today lol! 🥹
@AskAngelaBrown2 жыл бұрын
LOL. Ah, Punching Bob is such fun. My husband likes to move him around the house and dress him in trench coats and ball hats such so that as I round a corner and think I'm alone in the house I run into Bob, still scares the living daylights out of me every time it happens. 😂😂😂

Thanks Isabelle, I am so glad that we can all have a little chuckle at my misfortune. That will teach me not to use an inversion table without my anti-gravity Teeter boots. 😂

@@AskAngelaBrown thankyou for covering cleaning ceiling & walls again. If there is longterm buildup, rather than just dust in your example, what tool or product do you suggest. Hoping to avoid double rinsing, as required if using a soapy or sugarsoap products, or even having tried with my inefficient nonscratch scourer. Also considering using my steam mop / cleaner to cover all ceilings and walls now for deep clean, as will make most of clean walls to prep for painting. Plus, if rinse with white vinegar diluted solution, how can i add that to process, as the year of rain has created mold issues here. Many thanks for any updates

Thanks so much! 😊 I have really enjoyed my home and the home gym. When we built the house The weight room wasn't part of the house plans. It was a 2 story great room. I had them put a ceiling in the first floor and reinforce the coffered ceiling with steel railroad tracks to support the weight of the industrial treadmill and the powerhouse home gym. I didn't want the equipment falling through the ceiling to the first floor. It's been a great gym in that it's fully air-conditioned and heated so I can work out year-round. I'll still have room in there to keep a few pieces of equipment and some free weights, the treadmill, and the bike. 👏👏👏

Hi Angela , I have a customer who wants to know how much i would charge to come and clean a 1500 sq ft studio Gym , that is similar to yours ( has free weights and some equipment and punching bags ) and i have no idea what to charge. She wants to know what is the difference if i come and do a basic clean or a deep clean and what would the price difference be. Im a newbie and this would be my first time ever to clean a commercial Gym. Please respond , i could really use some advice. I do not want to under charge or over charge. Thank you.
@GlitterObsessedFreak Жыл бұрын
The gym also includes a small bathroom and some small personal fridges and possibly a microwave / sink / area.
@AskAngelaBrown Жыл бұрын
When determining the pricing for cleaning a commercial gym, consider factors such as the size of the gym (approximately 1500 sq ft) and your local market rates. Assess the scope of work and research average prices in your area to ensure you charge a fair amount. Differentiate between a basic clean and a deep clean, with the latter involving more thorough cleaning and potentially a higher price. To provide an accurate quote, visit the gym in person, assess its condition, and discuss the client's expectations. Consider your operating costs when determining your pricing. Good luck with your first commercial cleaning job!

Do you do your own force of nature cleaner?
@AskAngelaBrown Жыл бұрын
No. I don't mix any chemicals. I use the packets sold online. (paid link amzn.to/3XljgcB) The minute I start making my own recipes for cleaning - everyone around me does the same and then there is no guarantee what the final products will be. If we stick with the manufacturers recommendations - it's a safer bet for our company.

@AskAngelaBrown Жыл бұрын
I sold the treadmill (I've been jogging outside) and the big weight machine in the corner. I scaled down to a solitary weight bench and I kept the rack of free weights. I kept a few pieces of smaller weight equipment, both bicycles, two mini trampolines, two sit up machines and punching Bob. They are in a smaller bedroom in the house and my old weight room is now my new recording studio. And I LOVE IT!

How do you clean a rubber style floor in a gym?
@AskAngelaBrown Жыл бұрын
When cleaning rubber floor mats, it's important to avoid using abrasive cleaning products or scrub brushes as these can damage the surface of the mats. Vacuum them first, then mop them with a vinegar/water solution to remove spots of sweat, water drops, etc. Many gyms will have a floor machine that has cleaning pads on it with soft bristles. You can use their floor machine rather than a string mop. Let them air dry once mopped and don't use a towel to dry them as it can leave lint in the mats that will be hard to remove.

I clean a home every 2 weeks. He has a man cave room that I clean that has exercise equipment on one side next to a fridge/bar and the other side has a sitting/lounging area with a couch,2 side tables and tv. It takes me about 2 hours to clean that room and 7 hours to clean the house which I know is too long. I don’t think he uses the weight machines since he goes to the gym. Should I ask him if he wants me to skip the weight area to maybe every 4- 6 weeks instead of every 2 weeks?
@AskAngelaBrown2 жыл бұрын
That sounds like a lot going on in that room if it takes 2 hours to clean. That room may need to be a special project that is cleaned every 3 months rather than every 2 weeks. That would cut your clean down to 5 hours which is still a long time for a maintenance clean. Is it a really big house? Or are you also adding deep cleaning to your routine?

The Blooper Alert. You looked rather graceful as you slipped off, Angela... Til you had to figure out how to get up from this predicament! I hope you felt okay after that. It was kind of funny to watch. 🙂
@AskAngelaBrown2 жыл бұрын
LOL. I totally slipped right off that thing in the slippery shoe covers. And I got sandwiched between the legs of the machine and the support bars on the side. Then I was going to call for help but no one else was around, and I had to figure out how to get unstuck. Thankfully the camera wasn't overhead, it WAS NOT a pretty sight. LOL. The good news is I didn't have far to fall so I'm proud to say that no one was hurt in the filming of the blooper reel. 😂😂😂
