To clean the grills on your headphones and phone speakers use Sticky Tac. It gets every bit out and is reusable.

I cleaned my AirPods 3 case with water when it got dirty for over a year and it still worked perfectly fine. I got AirPods 4 ANC now

I use wipes, tissues and a cotton swab. Is that good? What I do first is put them on the table then I wipe the case and AirPods with the wipes. After that, I pull out the silicone tips then use a swab to clean the silicone tips and also the sound thingy. And I use the swab and use it inside the AirPod Case where you lay the AirPods in. After that, with tissues I wipe off the water that came from the wipes and then it’s clean.

I mean they are water resistant so getting the charging contacts slightly wet shouldn’t matter

From my experience, don't put those in there. You're only smearing your earwax into the earphones. Just pick out the earwax gently

Use iso on the swab, if u use 99% it doesnt matter if u get the charging contacts wet with it as its not corrosive since theres so little water

I agree most repairs you do will use ipa and here the kicker ipa evaporates in air lol

That’s wasteful. Sure, replace them once a year if they show signs of wear. But cleaning them is a perfectly viable option.
