During disassembly make note of the "clock" position of the wiring where it enters the blower motor. When reinstalling the motor into the housing make sure the leads are in the same position they were in so wire and plug reconnection is simple. Also, especially on an ECM motor try to position the lead connections so they are facing at least slightly downwards so potential condensation on wires won't follow gravity into the motor.

Great animation. Watching the can of penetrating oil and the emery cloth moving without someone's arm and hand reminded me of scenes in the old 1950's shows "The Invisible Man". I guess I'm showing my age.

Commenting on an old video. Why is this not listed in your maintenance items? Seems like you all clean everything with the HVAC systems except the blower. I heard you present pricing to the customer to pull. Does this still make sense to you? I'm currently pitching the argument to my techs that blower cleaning should be done on all maintenance. I'd like to understand more about your thoughts on this. Why does it seem to be a standard procedure throughout all companies to clean everything but the blower motor and wheel?

That said he works extremely hard and I'm good with that. I'm handy with some things but as of lately I'm finding a lot of things that need inspected etc. I'm overwhelmed. What advice would you give for my situation. My wheel is up high like your video shows. It doesn't look hard but again. I don't want to damage anything due to the cost of damaging my system.
