What products should I use to detail and protect a wrap that isn't matte ? (It's metallic grey/ charcoal) Should I just use a normal shampoo? Can I apply JetSeal on it to protect it? The wrap is G201 from 3M it's a metallic charcoal grey.

For my matte bike I just purchased a 1gal detailer. My old bike only got finger prints and water mark so hopefully I only need this detailer on my matte. Dirty/mud wasn't a problem. For the 1 gal, do I need to dilute the product in a spray bottle?

Awesome guys. Products look amazing. I have a Matte Black bike - I washed it with a wash and wax product (only one time) - after watching this vid I will make sure I dont use it anymore - I hope i didnt damage the matte finish with that one wash. I hope you guys ship to South Africa.

Hey Desigan, you should avoid using anything with waxes on matte products, a good wrap detailer, or matte soap will keep the matte paint from deteriorating. It's alright, this kinda stuff happens, that's why we put out the videos. You will have to check out your local listings to find an authorized Chemical Guys dealer in your area.

I don't believe matte paints to be delicate, but matte black is absolutely the most favored matte color, and it will show even the smallest imperfection immediately. I think this is why you might consider the paint delicate, but it's really just the color.

Hi, the problem with matte paint is that when you scratch it, it can't be repaired, it's unlike traditional clear coat where you can take a polisher to it. You also shouldn't add wax to a wrap because it will create unwanted shine. Matte wraps are extremely popular for obvious reasons, and some products can leave staining or streaking which would be noticeable. Chemical Guys Thanks for the response. So I bought meticulous matte and the detailer for my car. I’m a bit confused on using the detailer as I’ve seen it done a few different ways. After I wash my car with meticulous matte do I then dry my car off with the willy mammoth microfiber cloth after spraying the detailer on the car to prevent water marks?

I think the confusion may come from the different uses that Meticulous Matte Spray Sealant and Quick Detailer can be used for. After washing your matte car, you can use the Quick Detailer as a drying aid to prevent water spots and also lay down a layer of sealant. You can also use the Quick Detailer in between those full washes to clean light dust, fingerprints, bird droppings, pollen, and more. Similarly, you can use the Quick Detailer as a drying aid for your satin wheels, and also to clean your wheels when they are lightly dusty/dirty in between those full washes. I hope this clears up the confusion you had with the product! Any more questions let us know!

Generally speaking, you don't want to add shine to matte products because matte paint jobs or wraps are supposed to maintain that flat look. I recommend using the Meticulous Matte quick detail spray to clean and protect the matte paint job, the matte will shine better when it's clean because sunlight will reflect off of the matte instead of the dirt. If you had a shiny wrap finish, I would've said apply a coat of wax, that always does the trick. Keep your matte matte, save the shine for stuff like clear coat paint and wheels. C.G. Alex -

I purchase the detailing matte spray. It's horrible, it leave stains and streaks. Lets see your product work on a dark color matte finish and not one that was cleaned prior to your filming.

Hi Aaron, are you buffing the Meticulous Matte Detail Spray off properly after applying? As you can see in the video below, when sprayed on and immediately wiped off, the surface will appear streaked, however, it requires a buffing with a clean microfiber towel to reveal a clean, matte surface.
