When do you use the canned air?

We do not recommend using canned air on a sewing machine, as most people blow the fuzz into the machine, rather than out of it. You can use canned air on a serger.

I noticed that the bobbin case is metal while the bobbin is plastic. Aren’t they supposed to be made of the same material?

Not always. It depends on the machine and what it was designed to use. The weight is different, so you don't want to interchange as it will affect the stitch quality
