You were absolutely correct with the fine sand paper but hun DO NOT get the berks wet!!!!! It’s cork! Cork is a tree and the material expands when it’s wet. (Just like the cork of a wine bottle. When the cork is removed it is very difficult to get back in the bottle because one side is wet with wine thus the cork expands) The footbed of your berks will separate from the sole it will happen slowly , six months or so but you will get gaps in the cork sole. Great information with the sandpaper 👏🏼 👏🏼 😊

I got mine wet before and it cracked the sole inside where it bends as you walk. I still wear them but wish I had not wore them near water.
