You could try to use a tiny screw driver, maybe a butter knife. I’ve heard other people use that before. As far as the color transfer its due to the dye coming out which honestly wont be able to be taken out if it gets on something else.

Yes sir same rules apply. If you ever get rough or shaggy suede you can use a 2000 grit sand paper to level it down and get it even with the rest of the fibers.

The one that I have has rounded edges on both sides of the tool so I usually use the pointed side to move the fibers around more easily. But there are some cuticle pushers that are sharp and don’t have rounded edges. I wouldn’t suggest using those

Water damage can be caused from using water on suede. Itll cause the suede to look spotty and have white rings around it once its dried. This is why you have to clean suede using the dry cleaning method like i did here or gently clean it with as little solution as possible

i have some military black 4’s and i was cleaning the shoe scrubbing at the little suede it had and now it looks nappy. you can tell the difference between the shoe i cleaned and didnt clean. also have some slight staining from the water i believe. anything i can do?

Thats actually nubuck so you have to be very very gentle when cleaning it. The only thing I could suggest is by using a fabric shaver to try and get rid of the nappy look. You also cant clean just 1 area of nubuck you have to clean the whole entire piece that way once It dries you dont have water stains. Use a soft or medium bristle brush, clean it gently, let it completely dry, and then use that same soft or medium bristle brush to brush out the fibers of the nubuck so it can be soft again

You can try the soft part of a butter knife. A really really dull exacto blade. Basically something that has a soft rounded edge to it that can break up the clumped up fibers

Due to the color youve most likely faded the color. I would suggest trying to reset the suede like I do in the video with the metal cuticle pusher. After that you can use “Just Suede” or Mink Oil to try and revive the color that was lost.

Very difficult if not impossible to get it to lay down like it once did after it has had moisture damage i learned that the hard way years ago after ignorantly scrubbing away on pair 🤣 also if the color is faded usually helps to use a little suede friendly mink oil as well and try to only brush in one direction this will also help repell water. Erasers can be handy too just not a colored one

Ok so can you wet suede or not? Bc I saw two different things in other videos 🥲 pls & Tysm for this. Hoping I can bring back my teddys

You can wet it but the problem that a lot of people have or tend to do is over saturating the area they are trying to clean. If you use to much water or cleaner then it will be cause a water stain and or lift up the dye in the suede. That will then cause that part to be lighter than the rest of the natural color. So when you wet suede with a cleaner, use a small amount so that it doesnt become too saturated or lose any color. Hope this helps 👍🏽🤝🏽

Suede is pretty hard to stretch unlike leather. But just try getting a shoe stretcher insert. You could probably find one on amazon

@@rayonnahfreeman5132 unfortunately those are heavily dyed so if its white then you mmiiiggghhhttt be able to fix it with angelus mink oil. But it you cant then its permanent until you get them re dyed
