Yes you can but it's not recommended. Because sometimes while flashing custom roms some sd cards may get corrupted. But certainly you can use it. But it may be a risk to the sd card itself. If you don't care about it, you can surely go ahead

If you're coming from any ported rom (not aosp customrom) then it's necessary otherwise if you're coming from latest stable miui rom, you don't need it. It's a good practice nonetheless to flash firmware before the rom. That's it

Same question. I've been using custom roms for a long time, never had to flash the firmware unless upgrading Android versions eg A10 to A11 etc.

Because sometimes with some roms which are based on different sources or like the modded miui's if you flash them, it may break the stock firmware then after when flashing a normal rom will be a lot difficult without the recommended firmware. Hence it's a good habit to flash the fw before flashing the rom. But if you're coming from stock miui, you probably don't need it at all

For Redmi Note 10 Pro, even if you decrypt storage somehow you would still need to format data while flashing a new rom. It has dynamic partition so storage is always encrypted by default

Old flashing method works well as the same. 1. Flash FW (If MIUI vendor) + Rom 2. Format internal storage Boom to go.. 🤓

@@Anubhab-Dey No need to flash the firmware always. If u are switching from any rom to oos vendor rom, no need to flash the firmware as it'll be already packed with the rom zip file. You have to flash the MIUI firmware only if u are going to flash any rom with MIUI vendor. Hope it helps you. 🙂
