I just bought this last night for my fuel injectors for my 98 mustang. They have never been cleaned over 20 years. So this a must for me right now. Plus I’m doing a whole engine job. Putting everything back together today.

This was interesting and not something we have tried to do before. I guess it at least enabled you to clean them and this was great information, thanks

This tester/cleaner wasn't perfect but it got the job done for a reasonable price. It did, however, necessitate the use of some words that I don't usually include in my KZbin vocabulary. But what the heck: I pull out all the stops to educate and entertain haha

If you select mode 4, it is a continuous pulse, and you dont get the leaking like you're getting. Its not the device it is the user. Operator error..lol

What did you use to cut the connections that attach to fuel injectors I’m working on a Volvo too and the connectors from the cleaning kit are too big ?
@EverydayProjects6 ай бұрын
I used a pair of side-cutting pliers (some call them diagonal pliers), found at every part store. It does work well to make the terminal smaller. Good luck. What year-model Volvo do you have?

I would connect a hose and container and gravity feed a mix of petrol/diesel and injector cleaner. Or cobble together a pressurized container and tube feed.

Very good ideas! I may try that next time. Thanks for your comment.

How's she goin'? This is a neat idea for testing injectors but I think it might need more work. I like how you stated it, "In a pinch this will do the job." Nice demo and a good review of the unit!! Take care!!!

The weak link is the connection to the can. It would be better if the seller recommended or provided a can of solvent. Luckily, cleaning injectors this way isn't performed very often especially when "pour-in" products are available. I use LUCAS fuel injector cleaner and usually don't have any issues with stumbling or rough idle. This car sat for a few years so I thought to give it a better treatment. Summer is here...Enjoy! (we are waiting for another of your firepit videos).

@@EverydayProjects It's been on the dry side here and the Dept of Lands and Forests post daily if we can have an open fire or not. And most days it's 'Not'!!!

Do you think this will work with an older barb style top fed bosch injector?
@EverydayProjects Жыл бұрын
No idea. These testers seem to work on a wide range of injectors. Maybe give it a try. they are not very expensive.

A little "gadgetry" for $40 but it did ultimately do the job! Thanks for showing Craig✌️

How did it work?
@tajmeeltarfeeh7030 Жыл бұрын
@@EverydayProjects I have add it a rubber tube, with the carbon cleaner spray firm connected, then spray while connecting to a 12 v battery with switch also will be easy to press rather than keep spraying

Is it safe with a car battery. I’ve seen 9v battery’s just not a car battery hooked up to it…
@EverydayProjects Жыл бұрын
It runs on 12 volts DC and a car battery is what they recommend using, in fact, it arrives with battery clamps. Good luck! Let me know if I can be of assistance.
