Hi Bjorn and thanks for that great video.✅😊👌 I'm a Wordfence user and been for years....which has been more or less effective: Mostly firewall, IP malicious banner, locking brute force attempts was OK but far from safe or perfect ( but i've always used Wordfence and Wordfence central free suites : Typically quite a lot of malcious code injected into plugins still crashing/breaking the site and even if malicious code was detected : The malware cleaning (removing injected code would crash the website which resulted in long process of re-installation from (infected or not backup) , disable plugins , re-installation of usually non-updated plugin and in some case WordPress wp-admin files folder itself /public with .htaccess also infected.... My question is related to that as i'm seriously considering switching to Malcare : I'm quite worried about disabling Wordfence and the WAF (wordfence firewall files and .htaccess rules which sometimes aren't removed after Wordfence uninstallation 😬 Have you faced/tested similar situation (Switching from an active Wordfence to Malcare and did it goes smooth?) Wordfence itself is already quite demanding on my VPS and i don't it's good idea to install Malcare on top of active Wordfence 😬😬 anyway... And overall how would you rank Malcare efficiency and Ux if you're familiar with Wordfence of course ? Many thanks if you have time to reply this message 🙏😉 I know you're a busy man so if you don't, don't worry i'll remain a loyal subscriber 💯 😉😉✅👍 I owe you so much tips and tricks over the years 🏆🏆 Last but not least : Have you ever considered/ attempted to install and successfully run WordPress on a Decentralized cloud hosting (Onchain provider : Such as Filecoin , Aarweave , or even cheaper $CRU (Crust which is a newer one and seriously challenging AWS and other clouds providers in terms of price and even performance+ obvious benefits of privacy, free speech and censorship bullet proof which offers Web3 decentralized storage... But wonder if it's possible to run something else than IPFS now the tech as made ground breaking advance including database storage, decentralized (P2P based and share ressources (such as RAM GPU and even all AWS all sorts of ressources)🏆🔮 I see a tremendous opportunity and growth in the future of offering existing WordPress Web 2.0 hosted sites onto Web 3 decentralized and permission less upcoming Blockchains solutions ( Depin) (Maybe a topic for another video 😂 haahaa. I'll end up this already super long message and stop stealing your time here 😉 Mad respect and keep posting, your channel is a gold mine and the real deal all real WP veterans knows ✅ 🏆🙏

Hey Simon, First, thanks for being a loyal subscriber! I appreciate it :) For your first question: I used Wordfence years ago, but wasn't happy with how much of my server resources it used. I switched to MalCare after that. MalCare uses cloud-based scanning, so that saves tons of server resources. Since it's cloud-based, you should be able to run it and Wordfence at the same time without any noticedable increase in the use of server resources. Following that, you can work on removing Wordfence. Back in the day, when I switched, I just manually removed any Wordfence .htaccess scripts and firewall files after I deleted the plugin. Besides all of the security benefits, one of the best features of MalCare is that you can have all your websites (if you have multiple) in the same cloud-based dashboard. So you can have an overview of all your projects in one simple interface. As for descentralized cloud hosting, I've never tried it, but it's on my list of things to look into. At this point I'm sure you know about it than I do. Maybe you should start making some videos too! 😀 I would watch them!

I see this tool is necessary because even with the most acure security plugin you web is not protected that all. I want to know if this plugin is using cloud way interface. Look very impressive! You can backup right there and use staging webs too? I asking because I have sharing hosting.

Hi Maria. Yes, the scanning is cloud-based so when scans run it shouldn't have any impact on your website or hosting.
