How to clean Mass Air Flow Sensor and Throttle Body on a Lexus IS250

Best video I find for my car. I've just clean my sensor and throttle body and I cannot describe how dirty it was. Put everything back together and start the car. Immediately start panicking with this idling. Thanks God you said it will came back to normal once computer make adjustments. Thank you for the great video. I know it's couple years old but its amazing!

3 days ag3 days ago I cleaned the throttle valve of the 150,000-mile IS250. The position of the IS is very good and it is easy to clean.

I disconnected battery just in case. But not really needed. I think more importantly do not drive the car until the MAF sensor has dried out.

Where does that tube or pipe go to that’s on top of the tunnel you clean my was removed is it important?

The one thing I don't like about this car is that it shifts to 1st gear if I slow down below 5mph. If I'm going over a major speed bump or sometimes crawling around a corner it goes down. Is this normal because if it shifts down to 1st from 2nd I immediately want to go while it's still rolling then it's an ugly upshift

Im super particular bout the towels I use yo. I use my compressed air to help remove gunk off my sensor yoda. Boss mode work tho

My rpm goes down to 500 rpm… is that normal?? It does when I am stopped… recently got a new valve cover put on so engine parts were taken off… spark plugs have been replaced. When ac is on the rpm does not drop… I have an 06 is250

@@Uorme23 i did, I took it to the dealer and they said it was carbon build up, I got charged $1700 and didn’t fix it, then they said it was throttle body, bought it elsewhere, wasn’t it. Finally I found it was the hose connected to the air intake it had a cut on the bottom of it, it was a $10 fix and dealer just screwed me over

@@ustreasurehunt5009 hey, Mine 2013 is 250 , today i noticed that my car barely moves when i put it in Drive , it was not so up until now, it takes about 1 minute to rise RPM up on its own if i don't use gas pedal ,its around 500 rpm in Drive and even if i encounter a bit of uphill or bumpy road the car slows down, when i use acceleration its normal, not any Check lights ,not weird noises,just that .... i'll check what you mentioned ...

Dont forget to change the o ring on the MAF sensor cause a damaged one will throw those codes

IMPORTANT my car didnt start up until the third try, I assume it was the sensor recalibrating itself, upon the third try it started up slowly (rpm shuttering), after thst the car was perfectly fine, so incase your car doesnt start, dont panic, give it a few shots without burning ur starter lol
