This helps alot to know someone is still uploading videos on coil re-use ! I also use the Argus 40W and these PnP coils and if you use deserty juices then your coils are likely gonna turn black after a couple of weeks of use. but to clean the cotton wick to white, after the wash, you need to blow the coil holes with an air gun with a small nozel. This will push out the carbon formation on the mesh inside of the coil interior. Keep rinsing and dry again. Full Drying is Important. Brand New!

I have a variation on this method using Isoproyl Alcohol 40% solution with plain tap water to give a similar alcohol level to Vodka or Gin.The tap water should be hot then add a few drops of a mild dishwashing liquid (Palmolive is fine) then swirl around and around as many times as you can for the next 24 hours. Drain, rinse each one under a warm running tap then place the lot in warm plain water to soak another 24 hours. Finally shake off excess and allow to air dry, or if you're in a hurry, a hot air frier on a "warm" setting for 20 minutes does the trick! I've done this with 40 coils so far and works beautifully. Getting another 3 months of use (maybe) from what I would have tossed out in the garbage previously. BTW when you fitted your "new" coil you didn't "prime it". Big NO NO! They will last longer primed prior to use! :)

Changing the cotten inside is a better option. Just take the coil apart a rewrap cotton.

That may be. But if it works and you end up with like-new reusable coils, then the gin cost is nothing compared to buying all new coils!
