HI GUYS! today I'm showing you all the how-tos when it comes to cleaning /seasoning meat for any purpose. This is the way i grew up seeing my mother and grandmother seasoning meat and it did the job every time.
Now i know many people don't agree to washing meat,but in the Caribbean, we wash our meat.
There are three different ways you can clean your meat.
1.Using a citrus (lime/lemon)
-reduces the number of bacteria on raw meat
2.Using White vinegar
It contains acetic acid, which has been shown to reduce bacterial volume and growth on the surface of beef, chicken etc
3.Using AP flour
The flour can also be added to the water to help cling to any minimal slime on the chicken and when washed off this would pull the freshness and slime off once water is drained from chicken.
I also use onions,scallions (chives) ,pimento pepper,garlic,thyme springs
