50 year old life long nature enthusiast here. Grew up in the suburbs, then lived in big cities most of my life. The list of activities I do outside is too long to mention, but I'd never hunted. After much learning and work, I'm going on my first grouse hunt on Thursday in Colville NF. I'll be looking for turkey as well but don't expect to see them unless I'm lucky. Heading out solo after work. Just got my hunting license last January. I'm stoking. Thanks for the info!

1. Bird on back, head pointed away. 2. Your feet on each wing root. 3. Pull both legs 4. Head, spine, guts, hide will pull away from breast. 5. Remove one wing. 6. Keep legs, if not shot up. 7. Liver and heart are good too. Fast and easy.

To each their own, but I'd consider watching some others techniques, this is a harder way for sure. I'm old and lazy and like easier ways.
