I needed this video, I had the nastiest smell coming from my blender turns out there was some nasty dried milk under the lower rubber ring that was just festering the one day I didn't use it, soaking it now for a good while see if that helps 😷

I've had my blendjet2 for almost a solid year now, the rubber rings never go on perfectly and due to that the top lid will allow a clean blend no mess and other times it'll cause a leak when using it. I do wish you made a better way to install the rings and clean them. I use mine almost daily and cleaning. it's quite tedious and annoying how it doesn't line up perfectly when installing the rings.

Once you take the rubber ring out from the base, you’ll never easily get it back in the way it should be. The blender isn’t powerful enough either. The advertised smoothies do not blend well without frustrating jamming and shaking, along with the thought of ‘I hope it doesn’t run out of charge before this is done’. I’ve followed all directions correctly and see plenty of other people having the same issues. Maybe you should look into a more powerful solution that can be intertwined with these portable solutions. Right now, I can’t say I’ve enjoyed it. The cleaning is tedious and no where near as easy as you make out. The rubber rings are the problem.

I followed all the many advertisements they have for this blender by putting a drop of soap in with some hot water and turning it on and my daughter opened it up today and it smelled melled like mold and it was!! If washing with soap and soaking the gaskets in white vinegar and water doesn't work, I'm returning it. I absolutely love this little thing, but absolutely nowhere have I seen having to disassemble it to get it 100% clean. Nothing from the manufacturer. Thanks for the video.

@@vitalysaginashvili6419 No. I just learned to take both rubber gaskets out (deep clean) each time. When we used orange juice for a smoothie, it took all of the odor away. Now we KNOW to wash and dry those. Remove with a toothpick so you don't damage the gaskets. We now use it every single day and LOVE it!

I'm afraid to take the gaskets off now as I never had done so in 2 years; and just recently noticed what I believe is mold up under the lid gasket. I was cleaning my blendJet 2 the way the company showed. I have a week stomach for things such as this (mold); 🤢🤮 and now I'm a bit upset with Blendjet for not 🚫 going more into detail in regard to removal and cleaning of the gaskets 😢

It can catch fire just like any other charging port you get water in, so be vary carful. Water plus electricity is never a good idea lol.

No it doesn’t. Make sure to air dry before charging and it should still work perfectly fine.

Thanks for this video. The problem I have is that the seal in the base is really hard, impossible, to put back in! I get one bit in and the rest pops out. I've tried all sorts to push it down but it always pops back elsewhere. I am at a loss!! The Blendjet 2 video makes it look so easy but, when the glass is screwed back in I can see the base is not in properly. Off to try again but don't hold out much hope!

@@sincityblue03 Yes, I was told by Blendjet that I didn't need to fit it back flat as when the top is screwed on it pushes it down for me! I had other problems as well and Blendjet sorted it quickly, even sent me a new base! Blend jet's customer service is excellent.

When you separate the machine from the glass, if you press the button, the blades still working? Hello! I really suggest you send an email to BlendJet and see what’s going on with that. They are really good at responding back. But I ordered my BlendJet2 back in October when it first came out. It usually takes about 2-3 days for delivery but of course there has been delays because of the pandemic but yes please send them an email. Hope that helps!

I was always really careful not to get water in the charger port too 😔

Try using a bit of warm water and let it soak and then turn the base clockwise and it should pop off. I had the same issue, the vid really helped though since I had no idea what way to turn it. After some warm water to loosen it I was able to get mine off

I see it has been a year now. Do you have an update video? Also ot says the Blendjet 2 is water resistant, not waterproof. I'm wondering if yours is still working well. I got mine a few months ago & I was wondering if there was an easier way to clean it & came across your video. I was screaming seeing you put it in the sink and under all that water. I use mine 2-3 times per day. Especially at work. I do a quick wash between those times, plus I always add water in, spin and drink what's left of my drinks or shakes. I don't waste products and that makes it easier to clean. I use a quality plastic fork (throw away) to take the rubber out of the top and bottom. I use the base of that fork to also push it back in. I do use a drop of bleach once a week because the rubber can hold smells. Thank you for your video. Oh yeah I keep my thumb over the charge port as I wash it.

Yes it is… just don’t plug cord in while wet but let air dry. Then you’re good to go!

Bought one for my daughter and couldn't get the protein powder off the the bottom. Tried all kinds of sponges and gadget to scrap it off. The website just showed turning it on wit water and a little soap and that was not cleaning it fast enough. I was soaking it for days trying to get the clumps of protein powder off the bottom. When I would attach the lid I would some times feel the bottom unscrewing which I thought I was breaking it. I was afraid to unscrew the bottom when you pay a lot of money for this item I didn't want to break it. THANK YOU THANK YOU. Know we can go back to using the Blend Jet Knowing we are getting it good and clean with out breaking it.

The BlendJet 2 is water resistant. Please allow it to dry completely before inserting charger into the USB-C. I haven’t had any problems with water going in. Just have to let it air dry

@@lindao7887 its water resist meaning water getting inside. Internally. The charge port is manufactured to resists water getting inside the motor and such. But you need to dry it

Just grab onto the jar with one hand and grab the base with the other and turn them the opposite way
