Excellent video. My 2014 Equinox was idling up and down between 750 and 1000 rpm's.. Changed plugs, no help. Changed the solenoids, no help. Removed, cleaned and replaced the throttle body and that did the trick. Purs like a kitten now at about 900 rpm's at idle. Thanks for the video.

Could this be a cause for the P228D trouble code I got like 5 times? I already got the low pressure fuel sensor replaced and it still hesitates like this and the needle moves up and down. Especially when reversing

Scanner . Erase code after fix . And if fixed it won't turn on again . But if u have another problem it will turn it in . Either right away or couple of miles later .

I have a 2011 Chevy equinox with a 2.4 0270 engine power reduced light and service stability track when the reduced engine power comes on I have to pull over and disconnect the negative battery and put it back on it'll run for a while we thought it might be the throttle body so we bought a new one and put it on still having the same problems any ideas what we should troubleshoot next appreciate any help you might have

Nicely done. When you are cleaning this thing, if you manually open that flap when cleaning, does this throw off the timing and give a check engine light?

As long as you don’t flap it hard. What I do is I use the handle of a small screwdriver and put it there while I clean it but since I was recording couldn’t do it.. but if you don’t need to do that it’s ok. Your engine light will not come on. I had an engine light on my vehicle was idling very hard and when I scanned it my code was p0014 I be,liege it was. it was the intake and exhaust silinoids that were clogged so I replaced them. The engine light turned off by itself after driving about 60 miles . The idle got better but was still doing it so then I checked the throttle and yup it was really dirty . Once I cleaned it boom stop the rough idle..

Hey AJ this comment might be a little long, but when you have time can you just read this comment please. But when a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox LT, 4 cylinder engine is buring oil what does that mean? My car is at 173821 miles and my stalling out has been HORRIBLE. Its at the WORSE it's ever been. My car is stalling out going 40 mph on the road/freeway, when I'm at a red-light/stop sign, pulling into a driveway etc. I have to constantly start the car up because it keeps stalling. When I first get in to drive it, the car does fine, then after some time of driving, it starts having an extremely rough idle. The RPM stick starts going up and down like crazy. Most times the car starts jerking back and forward. The engine is really loud during this process and shaking violently. It seems like my oil levels be extremely low after a month of getting it changed. Sometimes the oil appears to have chocolate milk like texture to it, as if there is another fluid mixed in on the dip stick. When I'm in idling at a red-light/stop sign me being in park with the gas pedal slightly pressed keeps the car from turning off. But once I let off the gas, the car stalls immediately. It seems to really START trying to cut off is when I'm on the brakes especially after a hard break. When it stalls most times. It takes two tries to restart. First restart stalls immediately, second restart it starts right up. Recently I turned the key over and wouldn't crank, but that was one time. Gas additives like Lucas "fuel injector cleaner" or gumout "octane booster" helps it run somewhat better but once my gas is very low I can definitely tell the difference in my car because the idle, stalling, RPM stick moment is worse without the additives. If you can just give me your opinion because tbh I don't know what to do anymore. I'm trying to figure it out, but I never knew a car had so many subparts. I just paid the car completely off, less than two months ago in February. I'm reall asking do you think the car is waste or can it be fixed. Thank you AJ. So far I've replaced Solenoids- stopped stalling for 5 days Camshaft sensors 2 - stopped stalling for a few months (code is showimg again) Crankshaft -No change at all Mass Air Flow sensor Spark plugs but not coils - seen no difference at all Catalytic converter - seen a slight difference Air cabin filter. Codes throwing now: P0014 - camshaft position advanced Bank 1 P0300 - random/multiple cylinder misfire detected. P0420 - Catalyst system efficient below threshold bank 1 I'm actually getting 3 codes but P0014 and P0420 are showing up twice P0577 I believe is for the break booster. I just got that code for the first time ever. I forgot this code but I believe its P0172 saying system is running to rich for bank 1. My engine doesn't really throw out codes of what is needed. I just kind of have to google symptoms or ask people I know and see if multiple people say the same thing. Folks who fix/work on cars of course. Not just random people.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience. Chevy equinos i believe from 2010-2015 had reals on consumption and burning of oil due to the smart engineering of how the did the PCv it clogges and causes the intake and exhaust solinoids to clogged also . . You mentioned solidoinds which solinoids did you replace ?? Because you need to replace the intake and exhaust solinoids , clean throttle body, and replace oil again all at the same time .

@@ajaguilarchannel I replaced the exhaust and intake solenoids. The only thing I have yet to do was have the throttle body cleaned. Did me not doing all 3 at the same time damage the vehicle even more?. Because I was thinking about just getting my throttle body changed out completely and programmed with the car. But a friend recommended I tried to clean it first. So that's how I ended up here. I'm not really mechanically inclined, so I didn't want to mess up anything regarding the Throttle body.

Ok . Checa tu aceite .. lo que está pasando es que está quemando tu aceite . Eso es un problema de ingeniería .. cambia tu aceite , y limpia tu carburador como en mi vídeo .. y limpia tu MAF SENSOR con el spray indicado .. pero si eso no te ayuda entonces tendrás que cambiar tus intake y exhaust selinoids. Son 2 .

Yes; first do the little things like cleaning body throttle, change spark plugs, change oil, question does your vehicle burns oil to the point there's no oil on the dipstick?

Yes . So the cleaning of the bottle throttle will help alot but don't move too much the flaps becssue don't want to mess up the calibration. But if you follow the steps you will do it right .

The fuel rail sensor needs to be replaced. The solenoids intake and exhaust need to be replaced , the body throttle or accelerator pedal. One of the two but my best advice is clean body throttle like in my video and should be good with that code . But for sure you need to replace big time the solenoids intake and exhaust trust me . I willale a video today
