It doesn`t hurt opening the butterfly. When you have cleaned the butterfly and throttle body you have to run a re-learning program on the throttle body using a scan tool. So the electronic actuator resets its position anyway.

2008, never cleaned. Wonder if this is why my car is so hesitant to take off when the AC is on. Have done the spark plugs, coil packs, air filter and used Lucas fuel injector cleaner, but no solution so far.

Yea mine has a little hesitation when AC is on... But when off my car is still a rocket ship with 200k. I just cleaned my throat body. I even use a K&N filter in factory airbox. I guess it helps . I will buy new PCV assembly & Mass Airflow...

How big of a catch pan is needed? Will the entire amount draing out? Should I plug the fluid line with a bolt?

Why not diconnect the coolant fluid tube on the throttle body side rather than deeper down? That lower one seems harder to get to when the one right on the body was right there.

This looks so easy yet difficult lol. I have a 2008 mazda 6. And it stays right under the 1 when turning the car on. I rev it and it will never go any lower. The line stays under 1. Never at 0. Is that bad ? Will cleaning just the front valve part be more than enough or do I have to take the whole thing off. And deep clean ?

are you talking about your rpm’s man, if so they definitely are not supposed to drop lower than 750

I took cleaned the throttle body on my 2007 mazda 6 I and now I hear a ticking noise coming from my car. Is that normal. Also could you do a video on how to replace an egr valve on a 2007 mazda 6 I. I took mine off to clean it and now it's leaking radiator fluid from the bottom of it.

Hi the coolant hose on your throttle body iv changed my throttle body from electric to cable throttle body an this coolant hose don't go on the throttle body just asking does anyone no where is goes

I did all the steps shown in the video. Took the hoses off took the screws out and when I tried to pull the throttle body off it won't come off it's like it's stuck. I don't know what to do?

I'm AJ thank you for helping me now I know how to change my throttle body but I just was wondering that when you took the trailer body thing off you didn't mention anything about the seal then when you was cleaning to try to bother you good point about not moving about a fly secondly you started cleaning with the same brush that automatic had the residue on it and then you left a big spot of the residue on the butterfly but that's understandable but that seal is very important to let a person know that the seal comes off when you take it off but you didn't mention it when you're first took it all but you meant you you put it back on after you resemble it for some people should know how very important that is because if you damage it in some kind of way you got another problem I'm just giving you a heads up lady you did a great job thank you for showing me how to do that and I was wondering it's a silver radiator that says on top of the motor do I have to take that off too I didn't see it on on the video when you was doing the The Squatty body throttle body but anyway nice job you go girl from AJ take my head off to you you want to send me a comment I still appreciate it great job lol AJ God bless bye

It is recommended that before removing the throttle, you disconnect a ground from your accu. After cleaning and putting back the throttle body you connect the ground clamp. When you start the engine ECU will accomodate the throttle for about 20 minutes. You shall not drive during this step.

There is a humming/buzz noise coming from my throttle body unit... car will not turn over completely. Every few hours it will turn over and run for approximately 3 seconds then kill... should I replace throttle body completely or try cleaning 1st.

+Kevin Reed While we cannot give you a definitive way to move forward, cleaning this would be our first step to avoid replacing a part that is bot defective, just needs a little cleaning. If you are still experiencing the issue we would recommend taking this to be properly inspected to ensure the correct part is replaced.
