Honda Accord euro 2009 2.0 R20A3 just cleaned out whilst ignition on position 2 and weight on gas peddle so butterfly is fully open/closed. After clean, disconnect battery for 15 mins, reconnect with all lights and radio off, go to ignition positon 2 for 2 seconds, then start car, run at 3000rpm for 5 mins or until fan kicks in, and throttle position relearn is all done, set ready to go. Idle rock steady and running sweet 👌😙. This teaches ECU the adjusted position of throttle after it has been cleaned

Hello. I have a 2015 Honda CRV with 110k miles on it. I’ve owned it since 2019. In recent months I’ve noticed that while using the AC, whenever the fan kicks on, the car idle bogs down, the RPMs go down while fan is on, then returns to normal when the fan turns off. This happens while idling in park and also when stopped at a light in drive. I just changed the spark plugs yesterdays, as it was recommended on another forum, and I know they haven’t been changed since I bought it, so they were definitely due. After putting the new spark plugs in, the car still bogs down when the AC fan kicks on. Could it be a dirty throttle body? Any other things that I should look at?

Yes definately clean maf sensor and pcv. Also id recommend if you can clean the Throttle body aswell.

Yeah better to remove the complete assy. Otherwise you also can clean without removing the whole unit just spray it with cleaner and a brush. But then after that you might want to rev the engine out so it burnts all the dirty residue out of the combustion chamber.

at what miles was this done and whats your opinion on the shops that will spray cleaner into the intake which cleans throttle and engine from carbon by burning it off? i have a 2016 crv ex and 72000 miles on it..i bought it used so i am not sure the care it had..i do get a rough idle while stopped at lights and so i flip the headlights on to increase the idle..not sure if its just a honda quirk or a dirty issue...otherwise she runs good. thanks for your advice.

i cant remember at what milage but it was higher than 60000kms. It is fine if you use spray cleaner into the throttle body. give it a go it might eliminate the rough idle.

Hi, Felix. When you disconnected the coolant hoses running to the TB, did you experience any coolant leaks? Or is it necessary to bleed the air out of the radiator? I'm planning to do this service on my 2015 xtrail. The backside of the TB is pretty hard to reach. Thank you.

yeap theres a small coolant hose on the TB. Once disconnect you will get small coolant spillage. You dont need to bleed the coolant just refill it after the TB service.

Apakah sebelum bro bersihkan Throttle body baterenya sudah di copot?? Kalo belum coba di copot baterenya dahulu selama 10 menit dan kemudian pasangkan kembali baterenya ini untuk me reset ecunya. Jika sudah lakukan copot batere dan problemnya masih ada maka coba tahan gasnya pedalnya pada saat mesin nyala di 3000rpm selama 3 - 5 menit. Terima kasih.

The ecu will relearn by itself. Make sure you disconnect negative battery prior performing this service. Just give it a couple of mins warming up the vehicle. This car had no running issue and idle 100% perfect after the service.

Charles Fortinez it is also fine not to remove the Throttle body . You also could just spray the TB plate with the cleaner and wipe it gently with rag becareful not to force open the TB plate.
