I put it in the expansion tank as my system is vented (I stop the water from topping up and drain some water out from the mag filter, then add to the expansion tank). If you have a combi, then you can drain some water from a rad, then add it using a funnel into the rad. Re-pressurise the system and turn it back on.

those are really crappy filters, personally I like Instinct eco-mag filters, they are relatively cheap, come with spare o-rings and are easy to service and look great. I do think Adey make good filters but they can be a pain to fit. Worcester filters are great but expensive.

yep terrible filter no check valves impossible to yake apart the filyer element to clean. Swopped mine out recently for a sentinel vortex.

Agreed - i think Vaillant would be much more popular in the UK if it was name people could pronounce. I always cringe.

Best way to clean deep it in apple cider vinegar mixed with 50 %water.😳😳
