Hi bro, I've just done a comissioning and fault finding course with vaillant in Dartford center of excellence. Colin Leach said strictly nothing abrasive, no brushes whatsoever in the main heat exchanger and electrodes for all vaillant boilers. Just white vinegard solution and a clean cloth. If you don't have white viegard you could use the liquid from the condense trap as it is mildly acidic then pour water down the condense trap and clean it. Also use a card between the coil and hoover. Also should always drain down the boiler, check water quality and inhibitor level, clean knoe filter and repressurise expansion vessel (not only at any service but at any visit, I mean the vessel only). What do you think about it as an experienced engineer?
@cputilitysolutions Жыл бұрын
Looks like you've memorised a speech 🤣 it's engineer's judgement on site how you decide to carry out a service process as long as you carry out all the necessary checks 👍🏾

I think this is a good way.... but there is more then one way to skin a cat. I use a soft tooth brush as well a cloth and white vinegar. And you can use a brush on the electrode to clean if it's only needs a clean. I always change them as it comes as part of a kit you buy and its best practice considering the tenant has paid for it basically.....when you on the fields you find your own routine and ways to do a job in a safe way and more efficient way. I even do a tighness test after a clean like this. Peace of mind I left the property with no leak protection taken before and afterwards. This game always protect yourself. 🙌

I recently installed all new heating system. Vaillant VUW 256/5-5 boiler, aluminium radiators, cooper pipes. All works fine, but when boiler warms up and cooled down i hear some very annoying metal clicking sounds. The boiler is 6 months old and under warranty.I called Vaillant authorized service and they said to me that this things is normal. Boiler is installed in bathroom and a hear clicking sounds in entire house and this make me nuts. I gave 1600euro for the boiler which they told me that is very quiet and now a have fucking annoying clicking monster. I pour sentinel X500 antifreeze into system. I thought that it will be good to install Sentinel Vortex 500 magnetic filter to prolong boiler life, what do you think about that, is it worth it.
@cputilitysolutions2 жыл бұрын
Did you clip and lag the pipes? The clicking sound is most likely the pipework not being properly supported or lagged and the contraction of the metal as it heats and cools creates the clicking noise
@branko9172 жыл бұрын
@@cputilitysolutions The clicking sounds comes from the boiler itself. I contacted Vaillant yesterday and they will install silicon gaskets and grease the heat exchanger bolts and nuts with copper, like you did. Your video helped me to solve the problem. Thanks.

Did you actually tighten the bolts with a torch spanner to make sure it’s done to Vaillants expectations 6NM? I also couldn’t see you check the expansion vessel and drained the water and or checked the pressure. I don’t wanna judge you but seemed a little bit missing for a thorough service.
